Send condolences at REICH EILEENE MAE 84, of Mullens, formerly of Economy Borough, PA, died Sunday, February 22, 2009 at her residence following a long illness. Born December 12, 1924 at Homestead, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Elizabeth Ellis Horgan. Mrs. Reich was a homemaker and had made her home with her son, Father Jack, in Mullens for the past three years.

Prior to coming to Mullens, she was a 50 year resident of Economy Borough, PA. She was a former employee of Carnegie Illinois Steel Company in Charleston, WV where she worked during WWII. She was the loving mother of five children, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, John P. Reich; and a brother, Edward J.

Horgan, Jr. Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Cheryl A. Grindle and her husband, John, of Kennesaw, GA and Eileene E. Keating and her husband, Joseph, of Kennesaw, GA; three sons, Father John C. Reich of Mullens, Charles E.

Reich and his wife, Donna, of Des Moines, IA and Paul W. Reich and his wife, Linda, of New Sewickley Township, PA; five grandchildren, Heather Grindle, Scott Grindle, Melissa Reich, Jeffery Reich, and John Reich; and a brother, Edward J. Horgan, Jr. Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Cheryl A. Grindle and her husband, John, of Kennesaw, GA and Eileene E.

He was a dedicated loyal Brother of St. Bernadine's Monastery in Hollidaysburg from 1947-1953, where, as Brother Brendan, he planned to enter the Priesthood. In 1953 he left St. Bernadine's to care for his ailing parents. He had a loving, caring very spiritual nature.

of Philosophy for many years before stepping down as Department Head in 2005. He was educated in Austria, Germany, Canada the United States and received his PHD in Philosophy, Magna Cum Laude from Universitat Freiburg (University of Freiburg, Germany); participated actively in various scholarly societies including the Society for Existential Phenomenological Philosophy and the International Association for Philosophy and Literature. With professor Hugh Silverman, he was a founder of years before stepping down as Department Head in 2005. He was educated in Austria, Germany, Canada the United States and received his PHD in Philosophy, Magna Cum Laude from Universitat Freiburg (University of Freiburg, Germany); participated actively in various scholarly societies including the Society for Existential Phenomenological Philosophy and the International Association for Philosophy and Literature. With professor Hugh Silverman, he was a founder of the International Philosophical Seminar which for 15 years brought together distinguished international scholars in philosophy and literary theory in the Dolomite Mountains in Northern Italy.

Prior to being diagnosed with melanoma, William was an avid skier and hiker. William was the author of many books and published articles in both English and German.
