A resident of Bridgeville, formerly of Dormont. A Homemaker who loved bowling, playing Bingo and taking long weekend drives with her family to festivals and various other activities in the region. Wife of Joseph Rubrecht; mother of Joyce Taylor of CO, Linda (William) Neuhart of Cecil and Dessie (Sean) Spencer of Houston, PA; sister of Helen Plesha and Michael Lalich; grandmother of Richard Taylor Linda Heim, Albert Neuhart and Brian McFetridge; also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter.

As a member of the Circus Historical Society, Circus Fans Association of America and Circus Model Builders, he was one of the first inductees into theCircus Model Builders Hall of Fame. Mr. Rubenstein was the oldest surviving Honorary Life Trustee of the Jewish Community Center. Joseph was a Captain Navigator of the 8th Air Force in World War II flying 35 bombing missions over Germany and Poland. Mr. Rubenstein received the Distinguished Flying Cross with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters and various citations.

He was born August 29, 1942 in Durham, NC and was the son of Deacon James H.

Rowland, Sr. residing in Bowie, MD and the late Pazava Hall Rowland. He was a retired change repairman for the Port Authority Transit and was a former boilermaker with the United States Steel Homestead Works plant. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church where he was a former usher. He also was a former coach for the Penn Hills midget football and little league baseball teams and the Homewood youth football.

He served with the United Air Force from 1960-1964 and received a good conduct medal. Surviving are his wife, Barbara J. Rowland; daughter, Jamie Lyn Rowland of Verona and sons, Marcell Rowland of Monroeville, PA, James H. Rowland, III of Verona, Kevin Rowland of Edgewood, MD, Eric Rowland of Sacramento, CA and Rasheed Rowland of McKeesport; nephew whom he reared, Jason Little of Selinsgrove, PA; 13 grandchildren; devoted companion with whom he resided, Diane Jackson; sister, Audrey Weaver of Bowie, MD and brothers, Ronald Rowland of Crofton, MD and Fred Rowland of Pittsburgh; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, March 25th at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 17 Cochran Duquesne, PA.
