In fact he could not escape it The 6 foot 252 pound senior co captain lived next door to flamboyant EC Glass head football coach Bo Henson in Lynchburg Henson kept a close watch on Ebert who helped key the 36 6 victory over Washington Lee Saturday with his crunching blocks was the only sophomore to start at Glass but I want people to think that was only because Coach Henson was my next door Ebert said walk up the street to catch the bus and Coach Henson would drive by and offer me a ride I used to hide behind trees and cars and let him pass so my fpHTnmfltes wouldn't see me riding with him He was like a coach a friend and a father all in one I see a lot of the same things in the coaches at Emory" Ironically Ebert lived across the street from former EC Glass star lineman and Emory
