DEMASE LENA M. 82, of White Oak, PA, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011, after a long illness. She was born February 14, 1929 in Turtle Creek, PA, the daughter of the late Julius and Mary DelCotto. Lena is survived by her loving husband, Peter A. Following the war she moved to meeting her husband Dan, whom she was wed to for 61 years. Kay was a loving homemaker, being involved in all of her children's activities. She was a committed member of Brentwood Presbyterian Church while serving as an Elder and Deacon.

When her children went to college she began her second career as an Overseas Operator. She was both proud and active in her Serbian heritage making several trips to the former Yugoslavia to reconnect with their culture and family heritage. Kay spent her last five years. in the loving care of the Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople, PA. Her family gives thanks to the caring Passavant staff members and her Be Home caregivers.

Washington, Lorraine Folino (Ronald) of Canonsburg, and Stephanie Messina (Thomas) of Brookline; beloved and devoted grandmother of Vanessa Fountain, Lauren Montoya (Mario), Lisa Behun, Michelle Hickman (Philip), Jonathan Behun, Stephen Magnuson (Sherry), Nathan Magnuson, Don, Megan, Jillian and Kevin Swisher, Zachary and Veronica Calo, Ron, Matthew, Victoria, and Bradley Folino, Olivia, Philip, Nicholas, and Sophia Messina; great-grandma to Lilly, Christian, Cameron, Isabell, Aaron, Donavin, Logan, Elana, Grant, Maiya, Ian, Connor, and Ronnie; loving sister of Elmer Bodis (the late Agnes) of Munhall. Lillian's happiest times were spent with her family. She was a skilled seamstress who lovingly created countless treasures through the years for her family and friends and a wonderful baker and cook whose Hungarian recipes have been passed along to be enjoyed for generations to come. After retiring from GNC, Lillian continued to devote her time to her faith at St. Catherine Church volunteering in numerous ways which brought her much joy. Caruso, after a valiant and protracted encounter with Alzheimer's disease, was peacefully taken home by Our Lord on August 16, 2011. Carolyn is survived by her loving husband Alfred Caruso; and her two faithful sons, Henry (Christine) and Alfred, Jr. (Colleen); grandchildren Lori, Amanda and Luke Caruso. Over half her life was spent as a musician, teacher and pianist. Encouraged as a child by Monsignor Quigley, superintendant of Pgh.

Catholic Schools, she became a student of Ilse Karp and Paul Koch. Music making and listening were an important part of Carolyn's life. Later in life retiring after 18 years of service to the Thrift Drug Carolyn devoted her life to grandchildren, attending Pgh. Symphony concerts and living with her devoted husband Alfred. They were married over 60 years.
