CLEMSON (AP) Quarterback Tommy Suggs rid dled the Clemson defense for three touchdown passes Satur day to lead South Carolina to a 38 32 victory in the 68th football game between the Atlantic Coast Conference rivals Suggs a short stocky senior from Lamar SC hit on 19 ofi 29 passes for 316 yards And he needed every bit of it to stop an underdog Clemson team Clemson refused to give up as fullback Ray Yauger time after time blasted for long gains through the Gamecock 1 line and quarterback Tommy Kendrick filled the air with passes connecting on one eight yard toss to Bobby Johnson for a touchdown Each time Clemson seemed out ol it if came back but ne ver far enough back to handle the high scoring Gamecocks to Wake orest Saturday by whipping Duke 59 34 in the sea son finale McCauley
