the on in is C. post- and boys, DIXON VICTORY IN SCHOOL VOTE SEEMS CERTAIN TWO THE NEWS AND THE HERALD, Percy Dixon's election to the county school board appeared assured Wednesday as additional returns trickled in subdistricts voting Monday's balloting. With the arrival of reports from Crescent, where the largest vote of the election was cast, Dixon's lead grew to over 100 votes. His total stood at 351 while Sarah Harshbarger had 234, and it was believed not enough votes were still out to change the outcome of the election. BALLARD Henry J. Ballard, a resident of Revelstoke, B. and an employee of the Canadian Pacific railroad. passed away the Cascade Summit on Wednesday, June 21. The deceased was a native of Asquith, Canada, and was aged 35 years, 5 months and 7 days when called.

He is survived by his parents and two sisters in Asquith, Canada. Mr. Ballard was a member of Kootenay Lodge A. F. A.
