Yablonski Spruce Street Resident Expires Zigmund Frank Yablonski, 55, of 756 Spruce Street, Kulpmont, died last evening at 9:15 in Shamokin Hospital. Mr. Yablonski was taken to the hospital in Kulpmont Community Ambulance. Death was attributed to miner's asthma. Born in Mount Carmel, June 23, 1905, Mr.

Yablonski worked as a miner in area collieries for 33 years. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alex Yahlonski. The late Kulpmont resident was married May 8, 1931, in St.

Stanislaus Church, Shamokin, to the former Lottie Kowalewski. Mr. Yablonski attended Kulpmont schools and was a member of St. Casimir's Church, Jan So-bieski Club and the Keystone Fish and Game Association. Survivors include the widow, two sons, Donald, Glen Oak, N.

and Edward, San Antonio, four brothers, Bernard, Sumatra, Edward, North Carolina: Chester, New Hyde Park, N.Y., and Charles, Ran-shaw; four sisters, Mrs. Veronica Yurkieez, Baltimore, Mrs. Anna Worhacz and Mrs. Mildred Koveleski, Bronx, N.Y., and Mrs. Victoria Tasyn, Elmhurst, N.Y., and one grandson.

Midgets to Seek Second Victory Kulpmont Midgets will seek their second victory of the season tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 in Kulpmont Stadium. The midgets will play the Shamokin Bears, who have been victorious in two league games. The Bears downed the Cardinals, 21-7, and the Tigers, 39-0. Kulpmont, in its only game this season, defeated Trevorton, Sunday's game between Kulpmont and the Shenandoah Red Raiders was postponed because of rain. Kulpmont Briefs Mrs.

Trevorton will meet the Porter-Tower Panthers in a Twin Valley Conference game. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:15.

Both teams opened their conference schedules last weekend, with Trevorton downing Perry Joint, defending champion, 26-0, while Porter-Tower dropped a 13-0 decision to Upper Dauphin High. Trevorton High School Band, under direction of Charles Rau, will provide music. The Porter-Tower High band is also scheduled to appear at halftime. The Trevorton band made a hit last Saturday afternoon at New Bloomfield. Trevorton Colts To Play Tomorrow After being rained out last Sunday, the Trevorton Colts of the Shamokin Area Midget Football Conference will resume activities tomorrow afternoon.

The Colts wijl meet the Shamokin Bears, 1959 champions of the conference, tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 on Trevorton High School field. The Trevorton team is coached by Bob Korenkiewicz and Al Sa-bo, former Coal Township High School football stars, and Ben "Muzzy" Berra, Trevorton. The coaches plan to start Joe Kehler as quarterback, "Nip" Bray and Paul Bennick, halfbacks, and Mike Schwartz, fullback. The Colts will travel to Coal Township High School stadium on Wednesday night to meet the Wildcats in the first night game of the season. One Man Called By Draft Board Selective Service Board No.

117, Sunbury, which has jurisdiction over the Trevorton area, will induct only one person from the lower end of the county this month. Board officials announced today that the inductee is Lewis W. Moore, Kulpmont. He has been notified to report for induction on Tuesday morning, September 20. At the same time, seven men will be sent for pre-physical examinations.

The group will report at the draft board office, 228 Market Street, Sunbury, at Engagement of Couple Revealed Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Brez- gel, Herndon, today announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Irene Josephine Brez-gel, R. to Karl John Faeth, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Otto Faeth, Ridgewood, Queens, New York. Miss Irene J. Brezgel, R.N. Miss Brezgel is a graduate of St.

Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing, Lancaster. She also attended Hunter College in New York City, and is now employed at the Brooklyn Veterans Hospital. Mr. Faeth has a master's degree from Fordham University, New York City. He served with the United States Army in Korea.

At present, he is teaching German and history at St. Peter's Prep School in Jersey City, N. J. Before being employed at the veterans' hospital in Brooklyn, Miss Berzgel served three years as a first Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. She was stationed at Webb Air Force Base, Big Springs, Tex.

Coal Township trounced Ashland, Kulpmont's foe next Thurs-day, 27-6. The Wildcats will meet Coal this season, also. In other games, Mount Carmel downed Tamaqua and Minersville defeated Schuylkill Haven, 27-12. Kulpmont plays both Mount Carmel and Minersville.

Church Bells to Call Out Bloomsburg Voters Church bells in Bloomsburg will ring every hour on the hour Monday to remind voters that liberty and freedom can only be preserved by the use of the free ballot and that to be eligible to vote November 8, residents of the community must be registered. Monday is the last day for registration of all presently unqualified voters.

Church bells will ring again on the hour on election day, reminding all to turn out and vote. The Bloomsburg Lions Club, joining with other groups in an effort to get out the vote, arranged for the bell-ringing reminders. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Marion Heights. The Rev. Basil Trcmba, pastor, officiated during the double' ring ceremony. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Michael J. Okronglis, Mount Carmel, and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kerr, Kulpmont. Given in marriage by her fath er, the bride wore a gown of pure silk, fashioned with a scalloped Sabrina neckline, long sleeves and a billowing skirt.

The bodice was styled with a front panel of sequin-trimmed Rosepoint lace. The skirt of taffeta and net terminated in a chapel-length train. Her fingertip-length veil of imported illusion fell from a crown of lace, studded with iridescent sequins and seed pearls, and she carried a cascade bouquet of gardenias and white rosebuds. Miss Cecilia Kukish, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor, and Miss Rita Chapman was bridesmaid. The attendants were attired alike in floor-length gowns of violet taffeta and net, styled with scoop necklines, puffy sleeves and bouffant skirts with pouffed backs.

They wore crown headpieces, with short veils, and carried crescent bouquets of pink roses. Kenneth Kerr, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Paul Olshefski, cousin of the bride, was usher. Men of the wedding party wore formal attire. Rita Chapman sang "Ave Maria," "Mother at Thy Feet is Kneeling" and Lord, I Am Not Worthy." For her daughter's wedding, Mrs.

Okronglis wore a blue dress of Chantilly lace and pure silk, matching accessories and a corsage of pink roses. Mrs. Kerr, mother of the bridegroom, was attired in a taupe-colored dress and wore brown accessories and a corsage of pink roses. A reception was held in the Elks Home, Mount Carmel. Mrs.

Kerr was graduated from Mount Carmel High School and has been employed by Bell Telephone Company, Mount Carmel. The bridegroom was graduated from Kulpmont High School and Bucknell University and is em ployed by Merck, Riverside. Mr. and Mrs. Kerr left on a wedding trip to Canada.

The annual markmanship training and re-qualification firing is an important part of the corps' continuous training program.
