Intensions to the Yosemlte and lessen Volcanic National Paks, together with trip establishment of a Redwood National Park in Northern may he recommended to congress, it is revealed in the annual report of Stephen T. Mather, director of the national park ser-vice, made public today.

Consideration to these proposals will bo Riven by a committee appointed by the President's Committee on Outdoor Recreation, which has already approved an extension to the Sequoia National Park as to take In Mount "Whitney and parts of the Kings and Kern River canyons. Natural conditions in the Yosemite park during the past year, Mather's report says, were never better; travel exceeded all previous records, and operators of public utilities had the most prosperous year In the park's history. YOSEMITE HOTEIj APPROVED. ''Already the erection of a much needed first-class hotel in Yosemite Valley has been approved," the report states, "aid plans are being prepared for same. Coincident with or Immediately following this conduction will be the installation of suitable warehousing and cold storage facilities for handling fo.od and other supplies, and the erection of a general store In the new village, the development of a new and more extensive housekeeping camp unit, the moving of the present unsatisfactory stable Ontit to a more suitable location, and a fuller development of the high country operations in the way of a better organization of the hikers' camps operation." Completion of the all-year Tosemite highway which the State California is building to connect El Portal with the park road system, and which Is expected to be ready for travel not later than the autumn of next year.

This will result in "an Influx of travel Into Yosetnite far beyond anything the park has heretofore experienced and will bring with It a greater demand than ever for correspondingly good roads within the park." In the Sequoia National Park, Mather anticipates a heavy increase of travel that will continue through the greater part of the year after the Generals' Highway, which wll! extend IS miles from the park boundary to Giant Forest, has been completed. Wild plSi make nests in Slam, according to K. G. Galrdner, writing in the Journal of th National History Society of Slam. In India, Gairdner says. It Is -reported the pigs make nesti of grass, but In the evergreen Jungles of Siarn therarfl little or no grass and the nests art made of sticks.

The sticks are all bitten off from the surrounding trees and they vary In thtcknesa from the width of a finger to an inch In diameter.
