Comedy and musical performances, classic clips and appearances by former "SNL" hosts highlight this 15th anniversary celebration. Arriving on the schedule not long after its controversial May 12 edition with comedian Andrew Dice Clay, this 2 Vi-hour repeat special features guest appearances by several members of the original Not Ready for Prime Time Players, including Dan Ayk-royd, Chevy Chase, Jane Curtin, Garrett Morris and Laralne Newman, as well as later cast members Jim Belushi, Billy Crystal, Christo-pher Guest and Martin Short (Eddie Murphy, once announced, was a no-show). And, of course, the current "SNL" repertory company, including Dana Carvey, Nora Dunn, Jon Lovitz and Dennis Miller, is on hand. Past guest hosts who returned for the extravaganza actors Tom Hanks, Charlton Heston and Mary Tyler Moore and comedians Steve Martin and Eric Idle -were as famous as the musical guests, Prince and Paul Simon, both of whom perform. The majority of the show consists of classic "SNL" clips introduced by the many guest stars.
