Saturday. Dec. 24 CHRISTMAS DINNER A Christmas meal will be served at Christians In Action Saturday, Dec. 24. The menu will include ham, turkey and dressing, green brans, com and all the fixings.

REUNION COMMnTEt MEETING A planning meeting for the 28th year reunion of the Paris High School graduating class of 1967 will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday. Dec. 29, at the Paris Public Library. Class members interested in halping make plans are asked to attend.

6 COMMERCE Friday, Jan. 6, is the deadline for new students wanting to apply for admission to East Texas State University for the spring semester. Freshmen and transfer students planning to attend ETSU for the first time need to submit applications, transcripts, and test scores to the Admissions Office by 5 p.m. Jan. 6, said Assistant Director of Admissions Suzanne Woodley.

Box 1078, Pans, Texas, 75461 OBITUARIES Dorothy Edna Frank Dorothy Edna Frank Dorothy Edna (Mickey) Frank, 72, a 30-year resident of Richland Hills, now of Biardstown, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 1994, at her home. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Memorial services will be at 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 28, at the Glory Baptist Church. Mrs. Frank was born Dec. 23, 1921.

She was a retired executive secretary for Southwestern Petroleum Co. of Fort Worth, Six Flags over Texas at Arlington, and Creative Computer Corporation of Dallas. She was an active member of Glory Baptist Church where she served as secretary. Her husband, Cameron Walker Frank, preceded her in death. Surviving are three children, David Frank of Joshua, Donna Frank of North Richland Hills and Leslie Frank Cunningham of Biardstown; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Anne Evelyn Lloyd. The family requesls that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a public library in her memory. Ralph Weldon Webb Ralph Weldon Webb, 85, 2301 College died at 8:25 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 1994, at Heritage Care Center.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Keith officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

There will be no graveside committal services at the cemetery. Friends and family will be dismissed at the funeral home following the service. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr.

Webb was born Aug. 24, 19()9, in Paris, a of Clarence B. and Jane Martin Webb. He married Evelyn Walters Aug. 17, 1941.

He attended Paris sctuxris and Paris Junior College. He received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from East Texas State University and did post graduate study at Peabody College in Nashville, and at Boston College. He taught at Paris High School from 1937 until April 1942 when he enlisted in the Navy.

After receiving officer training at Dartmouth College and Princeton University, he was assigned to the Motor Torpedo Training Station at Melville, R.I. and at Boston Receiving Station. He was discharged in 1945. He taught at Paris Junior College from 1947 until 1974. He was dean of students when he retired.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church where he served on the official board for many years and was a member and teacher of the Builders Sunday School Class. He had been a member of the Lions Club since 1946, serving as president as district cabinet secretary. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Jim (Patricia) Moore of Rockwall; and two grandchildren, Brennan Moore of Austin and Allison Moore of San Marcos. Pallbearears will be Joe McDowell, Jerry Stephens, John Carter, Verlin Stewart, Gene Thielman and E.G.

Hancock. Ross H. Smallwood Ross H. Smallwood, 68, of Tulsa, died there Friday, Dec. 9, 1994.

He was a native of Paris. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, at Garnett Road Church of Christ with burial in Floral Haven Cemetery. Mr.

Smallwood was born in Paris, Jan. 27, 1926, and moved to Tulsa in 1947. He created the Gate City Glass Co. in 1951 and managed it until retiring in 1988. He was also an inventor and founded the E-Z Lure Co.

to manufacture several of his creations in the fishing industry. He was a charter member of the Tulsa Bass Club and a Mason. Surviving are his wife Bitsy Duncan Smallwood, and a daughter, Linda. Hazel L. Templeton Hazel L.

Tompleion, 63, of Paris died Friday, Dec. 16, 1994, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.

James Elsom officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Templeton was born Aug.

14, 1931, in Paris, a daughter of George Washington and Veto Callie May Stapleton Hill. She married William Carter Templeton in July 1950. She was a member of Lighthouse Gospel Church. Surviving are husband; three sons, Tommy Templeton of Mesquite, Bobby Templeton and Donald Templeton, both of Paris; three daughters, Alice McCoin and Mary L. McCoin, both of Detroit, and Caroline Templeton of Atwater, a sister, Lora Dell Self of Little Rock, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jack Hatch, Jason McCoin, Don McCoin, Floyd Mix, Roger Wysong and Bruce Barnett. Dwain Weetns HONEY GROVE Dwain Weems, 53, of Honey Grove, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 1994, at Northeast Medical Center in Bonham. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m..Monday, Dec. 19, at Aliens Point Baptist Church with buriai in Aliens Point Cemetery by Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home.

The Rev. Kevin Mitchell and lay speaker Rocky Ford were to officiate. Mr. Weems was Aug. 13, 1941, in Celina, a son of Mr.

and Mrs. Robert Truman Weems. He was self-employed as a welder and fabricator and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was an assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 51 in Honey Grove. He was a member of Aliens Point Baptist Church. He married Barbara June Wesberry Aug.

2, 1975. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Laura Kelso of Honey Grove and Joy Weems of Honey Grove; three sons, Michael Dwain Weems of Garland, Ronnie Weems of Farmersville and Thad Weems of Honey Grove; two sisters, Margaret Quillan of Princeton and Mary Jo Sherrod of Farmersville; four brothers, Marvin Usry of Canton, Donnie Weems of Princeton, Jerry Weems of Lewisville and David Weems of Princeton; and six grandchildren. Named as pallbearers were Kurt Fogelberg, Michael Blair, Michael Weems, Rocky Ford, A.P. Herd, and Albert Nance. Members of the Men's Sunday School Class of Aliens Point Baptist Church were honorary bearers.

Michael Arden Parsons Michael Arden Parsons, 8, of Blossom died at 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 1994, at his home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec.

20, in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with burial in West Post Oak Cemetery. The Rev. Chief Warden will officiate. The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

He was born Oct. 30, 1986, in Paris, a son of Mike and Donna Oats Parsons. Surviving are his mother, Donna Parsons of Blossom; his father and stepmother, Mike and Drethia Parsons of Belk; two brothers, Hardy Zane Parsons of Belk and Jake Olen Parsons of Blossom; his grandparents, Zane and Bonnie Oats of Cooper, and Rae Parsons of Belk; and several aunts, uncles and cousins from Cooper. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Hardy Parsons. Pallbearers will be James Cogburn, Mike Howse, Phil Wilson and Timothy Norris.

Lucille Hall Alexander Lucille Hall Alexander, 57, of Vallejo, Calif, died Sunday, Dec. 11, Sutter Solano Medical Center in Vallejo. Services were scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, in Mt.

Pisgah Baptist Church with the Rev. S.F. Evans officiating. Burial will be in Fairland Cemetery by Maxey Funeral Home. Mr.

Alexander was born June 27, 1937, in Red River County, a son of Willie and Hattie Mae Wortham Hall. He attended Gibbons High School and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where he served on the usher board. He was employed by Campbell Soup. Surviving are a son, James Alexander of Vallejo; her father who lives in Paris; four brothers, Jesse Hall and Junior Hall, both of Paris, Melvin Jones of Wichita, and R.D.

Jones of Dallas; four sisters, Lennie Mae Washington and Virginia Carter of Dallas and Lola Hooker and Dorothy Nell Jones, both of Paris; and three grandchildren, Jamilla Z. Justin E. and James Alexander all of Vallejo. DEATHS Troy Smith, K5, of Powderly died Monday, Dec. 19, 1994, Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home.
