Thursday, COMPUTER TRAINING A computer training for agriculture producers focusing on Ihc financial accounting software "Quicken," will begin at 9 a.m. Dec. 8 in West Side Exhibit Building on the Red River Valley Fairgrounds.

Dec. 7 HOME TOWN CHRISTMAS The 2nd annual Home Town Christmas variety show will be 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9 and 10, and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec.

10 and 11, at Paris Junior College. Admission is $5. Proceeds go to Big Sisters. Saturday, Dec. 10 CHARITY CAR SHOW The "Paris Bunch" will be hosting their 2nd annual charity car show from 9 a.m.

to 4 p.m. Dec. 10 at the parking lot of the old Brookshire's Food Store, 1128 Clarksville St. Entry fee will be $10 per vehicle which can be donated in food, children's toys or cash. The collected gifts will be distributed to local charitable organizations such as CHANCE, Paris Outreach Clinic and the Co-Ministries of Paris.

BROWN BAG LUNCH Parents of children involved in Cecil Everett Elementary's RAP (accelerated reading) program will attend an 11:30 a.m. brown bag luncheon in the library. Parents are to bring their lunch and watch a parenting video, said Mike Johnson, principal. Afterwards, parents will make a gift to take home for their child.

CROCKETT CHOIR CONCERT Crockett Middle School choir students from sixth and seventh grades will present a Christmas concert at 7 p.m. in Paris High School auditorium. Students are under the direction of Tracey Woolen and Tamla Jaggers. Wednesday. Dec.

Lotto Texas Haskell Vernon Price Haskell Vernon Price, 87, of Paris died Sunday, Dec. 4, 1994, in St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center. Graveside services were conducted Monday, Dec. 5, at Union Grove Cemetery with the Rev.

Lane Park officiating. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Mr. Price was born Sept. 20, 1907, in Reno, a son of Jasper Taylor and Nanny Edwards Price.

He married Linda Lucille Carter in December 1926. She died Feb. 27, 1992. He was retired from the railroad, having been a driver for Railway Express. He was a member of Springlake Baptist Church and the Paris Elks Lodge.

Surviving ar6 a son, Kenneth Price of Heath; one daughter, Chrystell Walls of Paris; two grandsons, Brian Walls of Mesquite and Jeffrey Walls of Rockwall; and three great-grandchildren. Beulah Collins HUGO, Okla. Beulah Collins, 89, of Odessa, Texas, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 1994, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Midland, Texas. Services will be held at 2 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec.7, in the First United Methodist Church at Fort Towson with the Rev. Dale Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Doakesville Cemetery by Lampton-Mills and Coffey Funeral Home. Mrs. Collins was born May 10, 1905, in Albion, Texas.

She moved to Odessa from Fort Towson in 1985. She was a graduate of Oklahoma Southeastern State Teachers College and taught school in Oklahoma for 27 years. She married Jirnmie Collins June 3, 1927. He preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Jimmy Ray Collins of Floydada, Texas, and Bill Collins of Odessa, Texas; one daughter, Mary Jo Schultz of Odessa; two brothers, Carl Maddux of Paris, Texas, and Bill Maddux of Oklahoma City; five sisters, Mary Richardson of Tishomingo, Winnie Bunch and Ida Bell Browning of Valliant; Ima Jean Plunkett of Paris and Madaiee Mooney of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Cora Dell Burlecon Cora Dell Burleson, 100, died Monday, Dec. 5, 1994, at Cherry Street Manor. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.

Wilburn Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo. The family will receive friends from p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Burleson was born July 6, 1894, in Mount Ida, a daughter of Tom and Valerie Dickens Williams. She married Ferris Binam Nix in 1912 and he died in 1948. She married Archie "Pops" Burleson in 1960 and he preceded her in death in 1962. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Surviving are a son, Harvey Nix of Baton Rouge, two daughters, Dorothy Burnett of Paris and Wanda Sue Barker of Port Arthur; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Eddie Mae Johnson Eddie Mae Johnson, 63, 816-10th NE, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 1994, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 7, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with the Rev. S.F. Evans officiating.

Maxey Funeral Home will make burial in Rocky Ford Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson was born Nov. 13, 1931, in Pine Bluff, a daughter of Edmond and Georgia Williams. Her husband, Lonnie Johnson died Sept.

20, 1977. She was a graduate of Gibbons High School and attended Paris Junior College. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and had worked as a nurse's aide. Surviving are five sons, Barney Johnson, Lonnie Johnson Donnie Johnson Wendell Johnson and Darrell Johnson, all of Paris; three daughters, Loretta Johnson, Vernella Johnson and Gayle Jones, all of Paris; a brother, James Williams of Bakerfield, and 16 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Elgin Reed, Vince Record, James Jones, John Floyd Ronnie Lane, David Brown, Vincent Taylor, Lonnie Dillard and Dave Calhoun. Clyde Yanccy Bolton Clyde Yancey Bolton, 90, 546-9th SE, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 1994, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center. Services will be held at 11 a.m.

Thursday, Dec. 8, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with burial in Rockford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr.

Bolton was born Dec. 21, 1903, in Biard- stown, a son of Richard D. and Lizzie Elizabeth Yancey Bolton. He married Bertie Frye Dec. 30, 1925.

He was a farmer and retired from Babcock Wilcox after working there 17 years. Surviving are his wife; one son, Charles (Sonny) Bolton of Paris; one daughter, Celia Littlefield of Sulphur Springs; one sister, Leja Stewart of Dallas; nine grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Lee Price. Daisy Butler Daisy Butler, 90, of Paris died at 12:53 p.m. Sunday, Dec.

4, 1994, in McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randall Scott and the Rev.

Lorenzo Johns officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs.

Butler was born July 8, 1904, in Lamar County, a daughter of Jessie and Lula Bell Harrison Short. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and was a retired licensed vocational nurse at Baylor Hospital. She was a graduate of the Baylor School of Nursing. She married John Ray Butler Dec. 12, 1923 He died Sept.

27, 1987. Surviving are four children, Mrs. Robert H. (Lucille) Phillips of Paris, Maxine Lee of Duncanville, Virgil Butler of Piano, and Bill Butler of Moreno Valley, 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Woodson of Paris and Josie Fletcher of Hooks; and a brother, Ernest Short of Arlington. She was preceded in death by a son, Ray Butler.
