While the adherents of the township form of government scored a decisive victory, those on the opposite side have declared their intention of bringing the matter up again at the earliest opportunity, which cannot happen until next winter, as another act of Legislature will be necessary to submit the question again.

Swenson Post, American Legion, which has offered prizes to the school children for the best essays on "One hundred per cent Americanism," has received fifteen papers on this subject and these will be judged and prizes awarded at a special meeting of the Post this Thursday light. The Passaic Township Committee will hold a public hearing on the side walk ordinance Saturday morning. June 26 at 9 o'clock when the matter conies up for final reading.

The dog ordinance requiring the licensing of all dogs will also be considered. The ordinance dividing the voting district has been passed. Arthur F. Eckersley, state Field Agent for the bonus committee called last Friday at the office of Adjutant Raymond A. Alland, of this place, and took away fifteen additional applications for bonuses.

Mr. Eckersley stated that five thousand checks will be ready for mailing July 14.
