The bridal bouquet was a nosegay of white carnations and pink roses. The bride's blue garter was made by Becky Rush and her handkerchief, borrowed from her mother, had belonged to her grandmother, Mrs. E. P. Thomas.

Included among the bridesmaids was Carol Hickman, sister of the bridegroom.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene C. Lacey and attended Portland State College. The bridegroom is the son of Mr.

and Mrs. Lyle Hickman, former residents of this city now living in Portland. He is a graduate of Lewis and Clark College and was vice president of the student body and a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Attending the ceremony from Klamath Falls were his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.

Ward Dolan; uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Blind, and Mrs. Don Embrick and Mrs. Cliff Phillips, his aunts.

Elda Larson and Elizabeth Robertson were two of 14 members of the University of Oregon's class of '61 given recognition for highest scholarship in the commencement exercises June 11. Kappa Delta Pi, an educational honor society, installed a new chapter at Southern Oregon College on June 3 making the college the third such institution in the state of Oregon to be honored. Handbury wore a light beige silk damask ensemble with white accessories. Pink carnations and white roses were fashioned as corsages for both mothers. The church parlors were decorated with white wedding bells and pink and green streamers for the reception following the ceremony. The four tiered cake, made by Mrs. Gray Brannon, was iced in white and decorated with pink roses.

It was served by Mrs. Owen Storey and Mrs. George Flowers. Punch and coffee were served by Judy Orgain and Mrs. Homer Merritt.

Alma Palmer and Linda Hall received gifts. The bride's going -away outfit was a blue cotton sheath with buttoned jacket to which the bridal corsage was pinned. Mrs. Handbury is a graduate of Henley High School and Link's School of Business in Boise. Her husband, also a Henley graduate, is employed by Tektronix, Inc.

HANDBURY Portland Rites Of Interest Here Bonnie Jean Bell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence R. Bell, became the bride of Charles Merlyn Black of Livermore in a double ring ceremony April 29 at the First Christian Church. Pas-.

tor Otis Bell officiated. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Jacobs of Mt. Vernon, Ore.

Clarence Bell escorted his dauter to the altar which was beautifully decorated with white gladioli and pink carnations and lighted with tall tapers. Her gown was of white Chantilly lace over French peau de soie fashioned with longer, sleeved bodice and Sabrina neckline of scalloped lace re-embroidered with iridescent mother of pearl sequins and seed pearls. The bouffant skirt cascaded from the waist line in tiers of ruffles of lace and tulle to create an, apron effect in front and back. halo of lace outlined with sequins and pearls held her fingertip veil of illusion. The bridal bouquet was white orchid nestled among yellow roses.

The attendants were identically gowned in ballerina length pink nylon brocade organza over color taffeta. For each, the bride fashioned a double white wedding bell which held a pink corsage. Betty Bell was maid of honor for her sister and bridesmaids were Jerry Ruth Wickersham, Judy Rae Hogue, Betty Sturgeon and Phyllis Edwards. The latter two also served as candlelighters. Kathy Sue Schrier was flowergirl and Keith Hanchett, ring bearer.

Best man was Jeff Black of Dayville, cousin of the bridegroom. Ushers were the bride's cousin, Albert Logan, Ken SchriEd Wyman and William Bailey, uncle of the bridegroom. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Bell chose a honey beige lace sheath with matching hat and cinnamon accessories. Mrs.

Jacobs wore a mint green dress and hat accessories. Organist Mrs. Stanley Kenbones dall. Roy Lundren was soloist. The newlyweds greeted approximately 250 wedding guests at a reception following the ceremony.

Hostesses for the reception were Mrs. Harold Sturgeon and Mrs. G. C. Parish.
