The funeral sei vices were conducted by Rev. J. Edwin Nor-vell, at New Prospect church yesterday afternoon at 8 oclock and his remains interred at the High Hill cemetery.

The deceased was probably the oldest settler of that neighborhood. He was born either in Saline or Chariton County March 5th, 1827, and has lived in the neighborhood where he died since the recollection of the oldest inhabitants.
