Mrs. A. J. Geddes of this city, who has been ill at her home on SE Kane Street here, was taken to Portland by ambulance this week and will receive further medical treatment. She is the mother of Paul Geddes, Mrs.

Harrie W. Booth and Mrs. S. J. Cooper of this city.

Bliss Singleton, who spent the last week in Sacred Heart Hospital receiving medical treatment for his eye. is spending a couple of weeks in Eugene at the home of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Ogden, while he receives further medical treatment. He formerly resided here before moving to Drain.

Mrs. Paul Chitwood, the former Severson. has arrived back in Roseburg, following a stay in Germany with her husband, who is stationed there with the U.S. Oc cupational Forces. Paul will ne back from Germany in the fall.

Mrs. Chitwood is staying here with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Kuykendall. Mr.

and Mrs. Herbert B. Towner, who recently arrived in Roseburg from Chicago, to make their home, have rented tne lormer home of Mrs; Charles Becklcy on SE Chadwick Street and are making arrangements for moving into the residence. Mrs. Towner is a sister of Miss Naomi Scott of this city.

Helen Davis, stale president of Ihe Oregon Emblem Clubs, and her marshal, Margaret Gustafson, will pav a visit to Roseburg Emblem Club No. 267 Wednesday April 12. A banquet will he held at 6:30 p.m. at the Elks Temple. For reservations call Mrs.

He is majoring in that field at the University.

Alisa Lynn Bollinger was born March 17 to Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Ballinger of Mt.

Shasta, Calif. The baby weighed 8 pounds 11 ounces. Mrs. Ballinger. was formerly Pauline Graham of Winchester and is the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. R. G. Graham. Mrs.

Graham spent three weeks at the Ballinger home assisting in the care of her new granddaughter. Vine Wroblo, of (he social services department at the VA Hospital here, presented certificates of merit trf the Umpqua "District No. 16 of Federated Garden Clubs at a luncheon meeting Thursday at the Camas Valley Grange Hall. Mrs. L.
