Former Roseburg Girl Recites Vows At Wedding Ceremony In California The double ring ceremony was used Saturday, July 8, for the wedding of Lavelle Ann Wheeler and Regis Donald Dahl, both of San Jose, Calif. One hundred fifty guests were present for the marriage rites which were held at 11 a.m.

at St. Lucy's Church in Campbell, Father Harran officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.

A. Wheeler of San Jose. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Donald P.

Dahl of Santa Maria, Calif, The nuptial service, took place before the altar was ornamented with two baskets of pink, white and blue summer flowers and candles. The church organist played the traditional wedding music. The bride, on the arm of her father, was lovely in a full-length gown of net with a lace overskirt and lace bodice, the latter styled with a scalloped neckline and long sleeves. Her bouquet was ter of five orchids with cascading carnations. Mrs.

Larry E. Howe of Roseburg, sister of the bride, was tron of honor. Bridesmaids were Barbara Adams, Dacia Vanita Wheeler, sister of the bride, and Mary Dahl, sister of the bridegroom. They were dressed identically in pale blue chiffon frocks fashioned with rounded necklines and puffed sleeves. They wore matching blue hats and slippers and white gloves.

Mrs. Howe's flowers were a cascade of pink carnations on white net, the bridesmaids', pink with pink net. Flower girl Marcial Wheeler, sister of the bride, wore a pale pink organdy dress and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. Jackie Wheeler, the bride's brother, was ringbeareDahl acted as best man for his brother. Ushering was done by Frank Martinez, Jerry Hernandez and Bruce Adams.

Mrs. Wheeler, mother of the bride, wore a beige dress with multicolored embroidery. Her accessories were beige. The mother of the bridegroom wore a blue sheath and matching accessories. She has been art and cake decorator instructor at the Mesa College Adult Education classes in Grand Junction for the last eight years and has been in demand as an art instructor at various surrounding towns to Grand Junction. She is a charter member of the board of trustees of the Fine Arts Center in Grand Junction. She has exhibited paintings at the Art Exhibition at Springville, Utah, which is entirely invitational with only professional artists from all over the United States exhibiting. Harris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Harris, Pittsburgh, Pa. Miss Marosok was graduated from Roseburg High School in 1955, from Woodbury College in Los Angeles and attended University of Colorado and Los Angeles City College. Mr.

Harris was graduated from University of Pittsburgh and is employed by Northrop Aircraft Corp. in Los Angeles as a research engineer. The wedding is planned for the latter part of August and will take place in Santa Monica, Calif. Allen and Miss Terry Stanfill, both of China Lake, Calif. The bride is the daughter of the Mrs. Oweta Stanfill of China Lake and the late Mr. Stanfill. The bridegroom's parents are Mr.

and Mrs. W. H. of Cottage Grove, former residents of Roseburg. The double ring ceremony, read by the Rev.

William Updike, took place at 2 p.m. at Immanual Baptist Church in Ridgecrest, Calif. The ceremony was performed before an altar decorated with large bouquets of white gladioli. The church organist, David Colpitt, provided traditional wedding music as the wedding party entered the church. Given in marriage by her grandfather, John G.

Beach of China Lake, the bride wore a white tafgown with train. The scalloped neckline of the bodice was trimmed with lace and pearls and the lace detail was repeated again at the waistline. The long-sleeved wedding dress buttoned down the back and was accented with a fingertip veil which was held in place by a lace-covered bandeau. The bride carried a bouquet of carnations and lily of the valley. wore a cross necklace belonging to the bridegroom.

Attending the bride as maid honor was Miss Dianne Jump of Bakersfield, who wore a sheath dress of green taffeta. Bridesmaids were Miss Sandra Mitchell of Inyokern, and Mrs. Rita Hunter of China Lake. They were attired in matching pink sheath street-length gowns. All of the bride's attendants wore bandeaux match their gowns.

tor A young cousin of the bride, Miss Terri Lynn Brown of China Lake, was flower girl. She was dressed in green taffeta. Best man for the bridegroom was James E. Dowda. Ushering the guests and lighting the candles in the tall candelabra were Louis Hoyt and Howard Hunter, China Lake.

The bride's mother selected a pastel floral sheath with topcoat of light blue and matching accessories. The bridegroom's mother wore a white and brown ron dress with white accessories. Both mothers wore orchid corsages. A reception followed in the church socia! hall where the newlyweds cut 2 three-tiered wedding cake which centered the bridal table. Baskets of gladioli were used for decorations.

Mrs. Herbert Childres and daughter, Florence, of Ridgecrest completed the cutting of the cake and poured punch. Carol Mitchell of Inyokern was in charge of the guest book. For traveling, the new Mrs. Allen wore a white jersey dress with pleated skirt and black trim.

Her accessories were white. The newlyweds visited relatives in Reno, enjoyed stops Oregon Caves and Crater Lake. In Ashland, they were the guests of the bridegroom's brother and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Pearson.

While in Cottage Grove a reunion was held with relatives from Roseburg enjoying a day's visit at the Allen home. The new Mrs. Allen is a graduate of Burroughs High School at Ridgecrest. Her husband was graduated from Cottage Grove High School and is an aviation machinist's mate in the U. S.

Naval Air Corps. He is stationed at the China Lake missile testing base where they will reside for the next two years. George Goodmans Celebrate Anniversary At Open House Mr. and Mrs. George Goodman, married 25 years, were honored at their home i in Winston recently when Mrs.

Jim Lambreth, Mrs. Tom Goodman and Mrs. Andrew Brown of Cloverdale, held open house for the honored couple from 2 to 5 p.m. Silver and white streamers centered by a pink and white bell were suspended above the white lace covered table, which was centered by a three-tiered cake, baked and decorated by Mrs. Andrew Brown.

The cake was beautiful with pink and white. roses, silver numerals "25" sugar bells, which had decorated the wedding cake of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lambreth. An additional loaf cake was decorated with "Happy Anniversary Florence and George" and was centered by the numerals Coffee was poured by Mrs.

Tom Goodman. Mrs. Lambreth presided at the punch bowl. After the first piece of cake was cut by the honored couple, serving was done by Mrs. Brown.

Visiting was enjoyed and pictures were taken. Those enjoying the delightful afternoon were: Mrs. Rodney Hague, and children of Reedsport; Mr. and Mrs. Gene Steele, Raleigh Goodman, Mr.

and Mrs. George Carter, Mrs. Clifford Huffman and family; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Duke of Reedsport, Mr.

and Mrs. Ronald Stribling and family from Vida, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Mowrey, Mrs. Doris Goodman, Mrs.

Culver and Mrs. Wesley (Mickey) Thompson of Sutherlin were hostesses at a delightful surprise pink and blue shower Friday at the Culver home for Mrs. Jack Pynes of Eugene. Janet Wise, Kathryn Murphy, Dessa Bean, Nay dine Bennett, and Patricia Moss.

MR. AND MRS. ROGER W. ALLEN were recent visitors in Cottage Grove at the home of the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs.

W. H. Allen, formerly of this city. The bridegroom is a nephew of Mrs. S.

(Fox Photo) Birthday Observed Robyn Sue Munyon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Munyon of Glendale, celebrated her second birthday at a party held at her home Tuesday. The hostess served cake and ice cream, and each youngster received balloons as party favors.

The cake was decorated with the words "Happy Birthday, Robbie." and with. pink and yellow flowers. Those present were Sally and Johnny Tracy and Mrs. Omer Tracy; Curtice Pruitt and Mrs. Harold Pruitt; Shelli Dickinson and Mrs.

Dr. Willis is professor of Oriental languages at University of Oregon. home following the wedding. The colors of pink, white and blue were carried out in the table decorations and for the -tiered ding cake. Pink four white baskets of summer complemented the table decorations.

Eva Dahl, the bridegroom's great-aunt, and Evelyn Wolfe, his aunt, cut and served the cake. Mrs. Tom Douglas, aunt of bride. served the punch. Linda Parshall presented the guest book and assisted Carol Davis as she opened the wedding gifts.

The bride changed Into a tur. quoise suit with white accessories, wearing the orchids from her bridal bouquet which later was caught by Miss Carol Davis. The young people honeymooned at Carmel and are now at home in San Leandro, Calif. Coming especially for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs.

Elmer Dixonville Younger Set Enjoys Delightful Party Miss Grace Ruhn hosted a group of young party at her home on Road Friday evening. Attending were Dixie Hamilton of Dallas, Alda Brumbach, Beverly Bognar, Barbara Hamer, Sandra Counts, Albert Radeliffe, Jerry Rust, Bob and Joe Sendelbach, Lloyd McCraw, Melvin Kenyon, John Young, and Mike Dunston. The group swam at Talcott's, then returned to the Ruhn home for lovely refreshments served in their new recreation room. Bridge Club, Husbands Enjoy Barbecue Tuesday Mr. and Mrs.

T. H. Pargeter of Melrose had as guests Tuesday evening at their home members of the latter's bridge club and their husbands. A lovely barbecue potluck dinner was enjoyed on the lawn after which a social hour of visiting filled the pleasant evening. Present were Mr.

and Mrs. Robert Golden, Mr. and Mrs. Don Kelley, Mr. and Mrs.

Vic Lewis, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Hicks, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Cavins, Mr.

and Mrs. Mike Coen and the Pargeters. Pyle of Missouri, grandparents of the bride. Mr. and Mrs.

Robert McCord of Roseburg were also among the out-of-town guests: The bride attended Roseburg High School and was graduated from Camden High School in San Jose. The bridegroom was graduated with a BA degree from University of Santa Clara and is now in management training at Firestone.
