There are at present a few cases of whooping cough in Greenfield. This is a disease that remains in the schools almost the entire year when it starts sa early as this. There is scarcely any disease that interferes so eriouly with good school attendance and efficiency. fa almost Impossible for the school authorities to diagnose a case of whooping cough until the damage is done. We want to urge all patrons to give the school the benefit of the doubt whenever there is any evidence that a child may be taking this disease.

The child will lose little by remaining out a few days until you can be sure, and the school may be sure, and the school may be saved much loss. A good school can only result when each one of us thinks first of its good. to enter the contest.
