O. T. C. won the Oakland championship rifle tournament at the state rifle range at Leona Heights. The Oakland school was forced to shoot four times for the cup, tying with the University "higlrschoor-Rr for the first three rounds.

Richel Colombe of Oakland high chool won the Shredded Wheat Company medal for the highest honors of the shoot. He made a score of 19 out of a possible 20. Captain Nickerson was the officer in charge of the tournament. The winning team is composed of the following students of Oakland high school: Marion Swanson, Aldice Parish, Harold-Leffel, Chas. Huckley, Richel Colombe, Herbert Wise, Harold Siebe and Gera.ld Desmond.
