Sales of Hupmobilea for the first three months of 1929 wers nearly double those for the best previous first quarter, materially exceeded those for the record three months' business of April, May and June, 1922, and March sales were the greatest of any single month In the 15 yeare of the Hupp Motor Car Corporation's history. Sales for th quarter totaled 13,084 car on a yearly ichedule of 40,000, compared with 6399 for the first three months of 1923 and 11,290 tor April, May and June, 1922. Sales for, last month were 5024, eclipsing the former monthly record sal by 1000 cars. SOUTHERN RAILS SHOW GREATEST IMPROVEMENT.

The southern road continue to show the largest margin of Improvement In earning power among the railroads, February reports show.
