Mothers of the engaged couple received spring flower corsages and fathers, matching The party rooms held arrangements of tulips, red nations, and white gladioli.

The 40 guests enjoyed cocktails upon arriving and a buffet featuring cheese wafers, smoked dried sausage, barbecue beef, smoked turkey, macaroni and pea salad, sliced tomatoes, relish plate of ptektet and olives, congealed salad, coffee and punch. A bouquet of giant yellow mums and white gladioli was placed on a "Memory Lane" table which held pictures of three generations of Mrs.

Winsauer's parents, who married in 1904, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Krueger, who married in 1876, and Mrs. Winsauer and her husband, Albert, who married in 1928. The bride's table was covered with a white cloth edged with a flounce of dotted swiss.

The centerpice was fashioned of white and yellow daisies with fern in a gold candelabra bearing gold tapers. Serving at the bride's table were the honoree's granddaughters, who served the wedding cake, Mrs. Glen Jostes of Tynan, Mrs. DuaneSchrodterof Woodsboro, and serving the punch was Mrs. Jerry Winsauer, wife of the honoree's grandson of Odem.

A bouquet of white and yellow daisies, yellow carnations and mums in a gold champagne cooler flanked by yellow tapers adorned the grooms table. It was covered with a cloth of white lace over brown satin with a flounce of beige silk organza. Serving the groom's cake was the honoree's grandson's wife, Mrs. Michael Winsauer of Sintoo and their granddaughter, Mrs. Gary Waddell of Sinton, served the coffee.

A champagne fountain centered a small oval table that was covered in white lace over gold with a flounce of dotted swiss. Numerous bouquets and potted plants were placed at vantage points in the serving area. All the other tables had centerpieces of gold candles with green fern circling them. Philip's College. Clear Springs H.D. to sponsor bake sale The Clear Springs Home Demonstration Club met Feb. 15, in the home of Mrs. Milo Kearney with Mrs.

Arno Weidner presiding. Mrs. Martha Bothe gave the devotional on Lent. Mrs. 0.

H. Boecker read the minutes and gave the January meeting council report. Mrs. George Gerdes, jr. gave the treasurer's report.

Thirteen members answered roll call with, "Something I Enjoy Mrs. Harriet Pierce, Assistant County Extension Agent and the program leader for the day, gave a slide presentation on the 1977 Fall 4-H activities at the Congress. The 1978 Home Demonstration Committee recommendations were read and after discussion, some were delet- ed and others accepted. Activity dates were announced: The council will sponsor a Bake Sale March 18, at Oak Park. The Educational Tour will be April 25.

The Texas Home Demonstration Association will have its district meeting in La Grange, April 5. The District 4-H Food Show will be in Austin at Hancock Shopping Center February 18. Mrs. Kearney, a new member and the hostess for the day, used the George Washington theme, serving for refreshments cherry cobbler with topping, wafers, nut bread and coffee. While the members ate, Mrs.

Kearney played her piano and sang a selection entitled, "He Gives All His Love." Elm Creek H.D. meets in Francis Gold home The Elm Creek H.D. Club met at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 8, in the home of Francis Gold. There were 11 members present and two visitors, Harriet Pierce, and Ruby Jaroszewski who became a new member.

Roll call was answered with "Something I enjoy daily." Devotion was given by Ella Siltmann. Program was given by Harriet Pierce on 4-H Aware- ness and Involvement. The mystery box was won by Melinda StoUewerk. In recreation the winners were Harriet Pierce and Hedwig Herbold. One dollar ($1) for THDA Scholarships was collected.

Refreshments served consisted of assorted sandwiches, relish tray, olives, pickles, cherry and angel food cake, punch and coffee. The centerpiece was an African violet. Home Demonstration Clubs are open to any interested person. Mrs. Becky Baker honored with baby shower February 19 The Live Oak Room The Seguin-Guadalupe County Coliseum was the setting for a baby shower Sunday, Feb.

19, honoring Becky (Mrs. Ronald) Baker. The honoree was presented a corsage, which consisted of a baby rattle surrounded with a blue cushion mum and pink and yellow carnations. Hostesses were Mrs. Mae Gerdes, Mrs.

Debbie Almquist, and Mrs. Veriyn Schulze. Games were played with winners being Mrs Wallace Real and Mrs. David Baker. The gilt table was laid with a white linen cloth with a stork as a centerpiece.

The serving table was laid with a beautiful white linen cloth. And the table was centered with an arrangement of mixed pink, yellow and blue spring flowers in a diaper- shaped vase with novelty baby items entwined with the flowers. The pink and blue decorated cake was served by Mrs. Elroy Schufci. otter refreshments served to the 31 guests consisted of sherbet punch, coffee, mints and nuts.
