The Paris News. Aug. 7,7. 1982 Networks sndintie in ratings LOS ANGELES (AP) ABC and CBS tied for first place in the latest television ratings, with six of the Top 10 spots going to CBS and four to ABC. The two networks each had a rating of 13.6 for the week ended Aug.

22. NBC was in third place with a rating of 11.0. The networks say this means in an average prime-time minute 13.6 percent of the nation's homes with TV were tuned to ABC and 13.6 percent to CBS. ABC's "Too Close for Comfort" took first place in the ratings compiled by the A.C. Nielsen Co.

Last week's winner, CBS's "Filthy Rich," was in second place. It was only the third time that "Too Close for Comfort" had made it to the top, although the two-year-old comedy had been consistently in the Top 10. It first made it to No. 1 for the week ended May 16 when it tied with the Miss U.S.A. Pageant.

It was in sole possession of first place for the week ended June 6. The other shows in the Top 10 were the usual series favorites except for "The Barbara Walters Summer Special" on ABC. Here are the Top 10 shows: "Too Close for Comfort," a rating of 19.8 or 16.1 million households, ABC; "Filthy Rich," 19.2 or 15.6 million, CBS; "The Jeffersons," 19.2 or 15.6 million, CBS; "Three's Company," 18.5 or 15.1 million, ABC; "Fantasy Island," 18.0 or 14.7 million, ABC; "The Barbara Walters Summer Special," 17.9 or 14.6 million, ABC; "Trapper John, M.D.," 17.7 or 14.4 million, CBS; "M-A-S-H," 17.5 or 14.3 million. CBS: "Alice," 17.4 or 14.2 million, CBS: "60 Minutes," 17.3 or 14.1 million, CBS. Here are the nev 10: "Circus of the Stars," CBS; "The Love Boat," ABC; "Facts of Life."
