HERALD Decatur, Illinois, Friday, April 19, 1974 DECATUR Macon County, Area Deaths Mrs. Ollie Page of Shelbyville. One brother preceded her in death. DEAN Mrs. Charles (Wanda Dean, 58, of Mattoon died 2 a.m.

Thursday in Mattoon Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Mitchell Jerdan Funeral Home, Mattoon, where friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Dodge Grove Cemetery, Mattoon.

Mrs. Dean was born in Arcola, daughter of John F. and Myrtle Rogers Honn. She was a member of Mattoon Church of Christ. Mrs.

Dean and her husband formerly operated Charlie's Drive-In in Mattoon. She married Charles Dean Dec. 8, 1940, in Missouri. Surviving are her husband; son, Charles Duane of Forest Park; daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Winona) Howell, Sherri and Debbie Dean, all of Mattoon; Letha Dean of Springfield; brothers, Kenneth Honn of Mattoon; Glenn Honn of Iowa; sister, Mrs.

Carlos (Thelma) Towles of Charleston; four grandchildren. One daughter preceded her in death. EPLEY John G. Epley, 72, of Lincoln died 9:15 p.m. Wednesday in St.

Mary's Hospital, Decatur. Private funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Fricke Funeral Home, Lincoln, where friends may call 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Lake Bank Cemetery, Latham.

Mr. Epley was born in Latham, a son of John W. and Cynthia Allison Epley. He was a retired federal aviation officer and veteran of World War I. He married Doris E.

Wilson Sept. 22, 1924, in Clinton. Surviving are his wife; one niece and four nephews. Memorials: charity of donor's choice. EWING Milton D.

"Skinny" Ewing, 75, of Paris died 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in his home. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Blume Stewart Carroll Funeral Home, Paris, where friends may call 4 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Masonic services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Vermilion Cemetery, southeast of Paris. Mr. Ewing was born in Paris.

He was a member of Paris First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge 77, Danville Consistory, Palestine Commandary 27, Ansar Shrine and Edgar County Shrine Club. He married Doris Rains March 22, 1924, in Paris. Surviving are his wife; daughters, Virginia Wright and Dorothy Ewing, both of Paris; sisters, Martha Alsberg and Mildred Ewing, both of Paris; brother, Shelby of Paris; two grandchildren. Mrs. Paul E.

(Rosa E. Houintin) Good, 62, formerly of Paris, died 4:15 p.m. Wednesday in Richland Memorial Hospital, Olney. Funeral services will be 10:30 Saturday, in Blume -Stewart Carroll Funeral Home, Paris, where friends may call 4 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery, Paris. Mrs. Good born in Edgar County. She was a member of the Moose and Eagles Lodge auxiliaries. She married Paul E.

Good May 7, 1955, in Terre Haute, Ind. Surviving are her husband; daughters, Marcella Erwin of Jacksonville; Alberta Deners of Paris; brothers, Ernest, Bill, Forrest and James "Bud" Rhodes, all of Paris; sisters, Blanche Reed, Beulah Kemper and Lillian Cook, all of Paris; stepsons, Ronald Good of Paris; Bob Good of St. Joseph; stepdaughters, Loretta Whiting of Springfield; Dorothy Roller of Story, Judy Walker of Paris; 15 grandchildren; 18 stepgrandchildren; two great grandchildren. HOLMES George W. Holmes, 83, of Oblong died 11:10 a.m.

Thursday in Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Marshall Funeral Home, Oblong. Mr. Holmes was born in Crawford County, a son of John and Cora Cennan Holmes. He married Emma Boldrey, Jan.

(DeLois) Combs 47, of Paris, a daughter of Dave Travis of 1052 W. Forest died April 6, in Henry County General Hospital, Paris. Funeral services and burial were in Paris, Tenn. Survivors include her father and stepmother, Essie Lee Travis of Decatur. HARRISON Guy R.

Harrison, 88, formerly of Oreana, died Thursday morning in Woodland Nursing Center in Mount Zion. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the Dawson Wikoff Funeral Home, where friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Harrison was born in Macon County, a son of Mathew M. and Maggie Lou Renshaw Harrison. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and Commons Club. Mr.

Harrison was a grain dealer at the A Grain Co. for more than 50 years. He married Mabel Braden Oct. 10, 1910, in Colorado Springs, Colo. She died April 20, 1364.

Surviving are a son, Wayne B. of Decatur; daughter, Mrs. Claude (Ellen) Covey of Decatur; brother, Joe of Decatur; sister, Mrs. Mattie Marohl of Decatur; 6 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great- grandchildren. Two brothers and four sisters preceded in death.

Forrest M. O'Loughlin O'LOUGHLIN Forrest "Abe" Montel O'Loughlin, 67, 0 of 118 N. Edward St. died 8:20 a.m. Wednesday in St.

Mary's Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in the J.J. Moran Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Central Illinois ALLEN Mrs. Rollin (Grace) Allen, 82, of Paducah, formerly of Effingham, died 11:45 p.m. Wednesday in Paducah. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham, where friends may call 7 to 9 p.m.

Friday. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Effingham. Mrs. Allen was born in Edgewood. She married Rollin Allen in 1921.

He died in 1964. Surviving are her son, Don R. of Springfield; sister, Mrs. Hattie Harris of Missouri; brother, Bill Landreth Champaign; two grandchildren; six great grandchildren. ASHBROOK John B.

Ashbrook, 71, of Oakland died 2:45 a.m. Thurs sday in his home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Taber Funeral Home, Oakland, where friends may call 11 a.m. Saturday until service time.

Cremation will follow. Mr. Ashbrook was born in Douglas County. He was a World War I veteran. He married Ina Mapes Sept.

Deer) Dagen, 86, of Lakewood died 7:05 a.m. Thursday in Shelbyville Restorium. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Lockart Son Funeral Home, Shelbyville, where friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, near Cowden. Mrs. Dagen was born in Champaign County. She married D. Ed Dagen Jan.

26, 1910, in Lake wood. Surviving are her husband; son, Merle of Lakewood; sister, Kennan of California; sisters, Nellie Addis of Willow Hill; Alice Moore of Bullhead City, 13 grandchildren. Mrs. Lionel (Mary) Hyde, 63, of Lincoln died 4:40 p.m. Wednesday in Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Lincoln. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Kerrigan Funeral Home, Lincoln, where Rosary will be recited at 8:15 p.m.

Friday. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln. Mrs. Hyde was born in Illinois, a daughter of Cornelius and Louise Redfern Scanlon. She was a former aide at Lincoln State School and a member of the Lincoln State School Employes Union.

She married Lionel Hyde Sept. 17, 1928, in Lincoln. He died in 1966. She leaves daughter, Mrs. Mary Metcalfe of Peoria; sons, Lionel "Dutch" and Bill, both of Lincoln; sister, Mrs.

Alice Harper of California; brothers, John and Tom Scanlon, both of California; Frank Scanlon of Colorado; Joe Scanlon of Lincoln; 14 grandchildren; two great grandchildren. A daughter, brother, and granddaughter preceded her in death. JENNER Mrs. Elmer (Ethel) Jenner, 78, of Olney died 4:15 a.m. Wednesday in Richland Memorial Hospital, Olney.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in Summers Marshall Funeral Home, Olney, where friends may call anytime. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, Olney. Mrs. Jenner was born in Mount Carmel, a daughter of Samuel H.

and Dora Hines Williams. She was a member of Calhoun Christian Church. She married William R. Robbins: He preceded her in death. She married Elmer P.

Jenner. He also preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Betty Pflaum of Olney; three grandchildren; one great grandchild. A son, brother and sister preceded her in death.

LANCASTER Thomas J. Lancaster, 92, of Clinton died 11:25 a.m. Thursday in Crestview Nursing Home, Clinton. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Herington Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m.

Friday. Burial will be in Maroa Cemetery. Mr. Lancaster was born in Patoka, a son of Clay and Rachel Glasson Lancaster. He married Mabel Manley Dec.

14, 1904, at Decatur. She died in 1967. Surviving are his daughters, Mrs. S. D.

(Opal) Thompson of rural Clinton; Mrs. James (Irene) Howell of rural Maroa; four grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren. LONERGAN Mrs. John T. (Faye Lucille) Lonergan, 68, of Hillsboro, formerly of Decatur, died 5:45 a.m.

Saturday in Hillsboro Hospital. Funeral services were Monday in the Bass Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Burial was in St. Agnes Cemetery, Hillsboro. Mrs.

Lonergan was born in Brownstown, a daughter of Frank and Mary Chaney Porter. She married John T. Lonergan, June 31, 1952 in Peoria. Surviving are her husband; daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Grace of Williamsburg, brothers, Clarence L.

Porter of Effingham; and Wilbur Porter of Los Angeles, Calif. HYDE Louisville died 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Clay County Hospital, Flora. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, where friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Saturday. Burial will be in Orchard Hill Cemetery, Louisville. Memorials: Clay County Heart Fund. Mr. Magill was born in Palestine, son of L.A.

and Ethel Sager Magill. He was a charter member of the Louisville Rotary Club and the Methodist Church. He was assistant superintendent of the Clay County Educational Service Region and a member of several educational associations. He retired as principal of North Clay High School, Louisville, in 1964. He married Inez Van Dyke.

Surviving are his wife; son, MAGILL Guy N. Magill, 69, of Guy N. "Nick" of Two Rivers, daughter, Mrs. C.K. (Karen) Swain of Carbondale; sister, Mrs.

Circe Dodds of Edina, eight grandsons. UPCHURCH Mrs. Charles (Bertha Mae) Upchurch, 80, of Flora died 2:45 a.m. Thursday in Clay County Hospital, Flora. Funeral services will be 2 p.m.

Saturday in Cardascio Funeral Home, Flora, where friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Xenia. Mrs. Upchurch was born in Clay County, a daughter of George and Laura Mae Smothers Rush.

She married Charles Upchurch. He preceded her in death. Surviving are sons, William Heninger of Flora; Frank Heninger of McLeansboro; daughter, Mrs. Florence Naomi Littrell of Salem; brother, Hobart Rush of Xenia; sister, Mrs. Alva (Gladys) Wires of Xenia; eight grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.

WAITE Mrs. Frank (Maude Waite, 89, of Kansas died 10:45 a.m. Thursday in Paris Community Hospital. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in pleasant Hill Christian Church.

Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Sutton Son Funeral Home, Kansas. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Waite was born in Edgar County, a daughter of Wesley and Ellen Clark Stepleton.

She was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church. She married Frank Waite, July 16, 1906, in Eldorado, Kan. Surviving are her husband; son, Wayne of Denver, daughters, Mrs. Helen Helvie of Kansas; Mrs. Audrey Stepp of Kansas City, Mrs.

Mildred Hornbrook of Van Buren, sister, Mrs. Alga Godfrey of Walsh, seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren. A daughter preceded her in death. WILSON John C. Wilson, 63, of Charleston died 4:20 a.m.

Thursday in Charleston Community Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Caudill King Funeral Home, Charleston, where friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Janesville Cemetery.

Mr. Wilson was born in Coles County, a son of Steven and Carrie Dick Wilson. He married Marjorie Hanley Feb. 21, 1933, at Paris. Surviving are his wife; daughters, Mrs.

Jerry (Rose) Pollard and Mrs. Duane (Louise) Moses, both of Ashmore; Mrs. Arthur (Pat) Abston, Mrs. Homer (Shirley) Bahney Mrs. Ivan (Donna) Campbell and Mrs.

David (Charlotte) Kimmel, all of Charleston; Mrs. David (Maxine) Walker of Toledo; sons, Marion and Lawrence, both of Mattoon; John Jr. of Westfield; Bruce, at home; sister, Mrs. Roy (Lillian) Closson of Neoga; brother, Allan of Charleston; 24 grandchildren. WRIGHT Willard Isaac Wright, 70, of Mansfield died 5 p.m.

Wednesday in Royal Fontana Nursing Care Center, Urbana. Mr. Wright was injured March 18 in a one car accident near Mahomet. He had been transferred to the nursing home after a period of hospitalization at Urbana's Mercy Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m.

Saturday in the Mansfield United Methodist Church. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Stensel Funeral Home, Mansfield. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. Mr.

Wright was born in Mahomet. He was a member of United Methodist Church, Piatt County Forest Park Preserve Board and the Lions Club, in Mansfield. He was a retired fireman and farmer. He married Martha Miner May 14, 1927, in Champaign. Surviving are his wife; son, Roger of Mansfield; daughter, Mrs.

Bertha Edwards of Oreana; brothers, Clarence and Walter, both of Mahomet; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; one great grandchild; two step great grandchildren. ZINDARS ZINDARS William F. Zindars, 81, of Hord died 5:45 p.m. Wednesday in St. Anthony Memorial Partly sunny today with not much change in temperatures, the highs ranging from around 50 extreme north to the 70s south.

Mr. Zindars was born in Illinois, son of Frank and Bertha Zindars. He was a veteran of World War I. and member of the V.F.W. He married Adelpha Ooton Aug.

16, 1941, in St. Louis, Mo. She died in 1970.. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Hulda Kepp of Edwardsville; several nieces and nephews.

A brother and two sisters preceded him in death. 3 Arrested, Face Charges Of Possession Three men arrested by detectives about 1:30 a.m. Thursday in a home at 343 W. Green St. were charged by the state's attorney's office later Thursday with illegal possession of a controlled substance.

They are Steven Ray Adams, 22, and Robert Miller Dyer, 25, both of 343 W. Green and Jerry Tate Baker, 18, of 1270 N. College St. They are charged with possessing both amphetamines and barbiturates. Police said a large quantity of pills were seized when the men were arrested.

Also seized was a small quantity of marijuana, but no marijuana charge was filed. Woman Placed On Probation One of two Decatur women charged with burglary was placed on two years probation by Judge Rodney A. Scott Thursday while the other pleaded guilty and will be sentenced May 2. Receiving probation was Delores A. Reynolds, 41, of 3750 E.

William Street who had pleaded guilty earlier to a forgery charge in addition to the burglary charge. Entering the guilty plea to a burglary charge only was her codefendant, indicted as Sharon Lee Bledsoe, 31 of 2267 Norma but now Sharon Lee Bledsoe Stevens. Two Sentenced To Jail Terms Two men have been sentenced to county jail terms by Judge Rodney A. Scott for violating their probation. Marvin Milliken, 33, of 643 Longview Place was given a 20- day work release term for violating probation given him on a burglary charge in February, 1972.

Douglas Griffin, 18, of Mount. Zion, was given a 10-day term for violating probation given him on a burglary charge last February. Three Placed On Probation Three youths arrested last January and charged with criminal destruction of property after they broke the windows of a number of cars have been placed on probation by Judge Rodney A. Scott. Earl Riddle 18, of 4653 Rosewood and Kenneth Logan, 19, of 2430 DeLoach will be on probation for four years.
