Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in Pulliam Funeral Home, Hutsonville. Burial will be in Hutsonville Cemetery. Memorials: Hutsonville United Methodist Church. Mr.

Anderson was born in Hutsonville, son of Arthur and Alwilda Anderson. He was an administrator for Hutsonville Community School District, a member of Masonic Lodge 136, Consistory of Danville, Phi Delta Kappa Education Fraternity, American Legion Post 742 and a Sunday School teacher. He married E. Virginia Mitchell in 1945. Surviving are his wife; sons, David K.

of Hutsonville; Donald M. of Fisher; brothers, Howard of Miami. Herb of Robinson; sister, Agnes Quillman of Hannibal, four grandchildren. Borelli MONTICELLO Mrs. Raymond (Patricia Ann McCartney) Borelli, 52, of Monticello died 7:45 p.m.

Friday (Sept. 1, 1989) in Champaign County in an automobile accident. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday in First Presbyterian Church, Monticello. MackeyWright Funeral Home, Monticello, is in charge of arrangements.

Anderson, 88, of Decatur died 7:12 p.m. Friday (Sept. 1, 1989) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Graceland Star of Hope Chapel with visitation 7 to 8 p.m.

Anderson was born in Butler, son of Avery J. and Margaret C. Anderson. He was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for 35 years, a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the National Association of Letter Carriers. He married Georganna Tincher in 1925.

She died in 1987. Surviving are his daughters, Mrs. A.L. (Gwen) Boyll of Decatur; Mrs. Dale (Donna) Arnold of Peoria; sister, Mrs.

William Hazel) Martin of Belleville; three grandchildren; two greatOne brother and two sisters preceded him in death. Bailey Bonnie Ruth Bailey, 91, of Decatur died 3:44 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 31, 1989) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Services will be 11:30 a.m.

She was a nanny for many years in private homes, a member of First United Methodist Church, Willing Workers Sunday School Class and the Decatur Obedience Club. Surviving 1 is her sister, Mary the Board of Illinois Vocational Home Economics Teachers Association. She married Raymond Borelli in 1958. Surviving are her husband; son, Mark of Chicago; daughter, White Heath; brother, Edwin Patricia of Chicago; parents of White Heath; sister, Louella Doss of Grafton, Wis. A daughter, Pamela, preceded her in death.

Carrell PANA Mrs. Frederick (Mary Jane Douglas) Carrell, 91, of Pana died 2 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 2, 1989) in Country Care Center, Pana. Burial will be 11 a.m.

Tuesday in Oak Ridge Glenn Oak Cemetery, Maywood. McCracken Funeral Home, Pana, is in charge of arrangements. She was a member of the Judson Baptist Church, Oak Park. She married Frederick Carrell in 1915. He died in 1962.

Surviving are her son, Clyde of Pana; daughter, Joyce Doll of Bonita Springs, sisters, Joyce Newton of McClure; Rose Bradley of Ellisville, Bess Dillow of Wood River; 11 grandchildren; 21 and great One son one daughter preceded her in death. Florey KENNEY Mrs. Truman (Jessie L. Butler) Florey, 90, of Kenney died 2:20 p.m. Friday (Sept.

1, 1989) in Dr. John Warner Hospital, Clinton. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Herington-Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Clinton.

Memorials: Kenney Methodist Church. Mrs. Florey was born in Kenney, daughter of William A. and Sarah Elizabeth Cromer Butler. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, White Shrine, American Legion Auxiliary, Royal Neighbors of America and Kenney United Methodist Church.

She married Truman Florey in 1917. He preceded her in death. Surviving is her brother, Vernon Butler of Kenney. Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Harris OLNEY Junior R.

Harris, 69, of Olney died 3:38 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 2, 1989) in Richland Memorial Hospital, Olney. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m.

Monday. Burial will be in Oblong Cemetery. Mr. Harris was born in Newton, son of Charles and Sarah Harris. He was retired from Tempco Products, Robinson.

He married Florence Crum in 1946. She died in 1964. He married Linda Jackson in 1978. Surviving are his wife; sons, Charles and Michael of Olney; Ray and Billy of Joliet; Robert at home; daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Sandy) Manhart of Oblong; Mrs.

Jerry (Wanda) McDaniel of Joliet; Mrs. Leon (Jenny) Parker of Palestine; Mrs. Roy (Vivian) Reyes of Los Angeles, Mrs. Glen (Roberta) Wease of Nevada; Tammy Harris of Huntsville; sister, Inez Bensken of Newton; 20 grandchildren; one great-grandchild. of Fort Myers, sister, Mrs. Russell (Janet) Curry of Windsor; one grandchild. Rex. He was retired from the Wabash Railroad and Norfolk Southern Railway, a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and Trinity Lutheran Church. He married Audrey Powell.

Surviving are his wife; son, Daniel of Decatur; Paul A. II of Decatur; daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Janiece) Angrove of Oil City, Mrs. Lee (Patricia) Blair of Decatur; Mrs. Jim (Frances) Sheets of Oakley; Mildred Tuvell of Phoenix, Mrs.

Tiny panda clings to life with human help WASHINGTON (AP) A newborn panda cub fought for her life in an incubator Saturday as National Zoo officials remained hopeful tiny animal would overcome the infection that left it in critical condition.

"It's in a guarded state, but it's alive and holding its own," said zoo spokesman Mark Bretzfelder. The 4-ounce cub, confined to an oxygen-filled incubator since late Friday, was being fed a milk-like formula through a tube that was inserted down her throat and into her stomach. "We're treating it as we would a premature baby in which there are problems," said zoo director Dr. Michael Robinson. Ling-Ling gave birth to her fifth cub Friday morning and zoo officials determined hours later that the offspring had a fever, too many white blood cells and fluid McClanahan COWDEN Mrs.

Memorials: Trinity Lutheran Church. Mr. Rex was born in Decatur, son of August and Wilhelmina in her lungs. All of Ling-Ling's previous cubs have died. This would be the first giant panda successfully bred in the United States.

"The most encouraging thing is that its condition has worsened from yesterday," Robinson said. "The fact that it's still alive and has not deteriorated is reason for cautious optimism. They're tiny things, and usually their condition starts spiraling downward after they get sick." Robinson said doctors from both local veterinarian hospitals and the Children's Hospital were helping treat the cub with glucose and antibiotics. If the cub makes it through the immediate crisis, zoo officials say they may have to raise her away from Ling-Ling because there is a chance the cub will be rejected by her mother.
