Bosworth showed the grand champion Guernsey yearling heifer and was first in the call heiior, yearling heifer and cow- brackets, also. Schoby was sixth and eighth with heifer calves, third with 's yearling heifer, second and third with two years olds and fourth and fifth with cows in the Holstein judging. The two combined and took second with five dairy heifers in the chapter group judging. Harold remained at the fah and tyas set to show animals* in the 'open class judging today (Thursday). Safety Strips To Aid In School Opening Bright bumper strips, stressing the message SCHOOL'S OPEN DRIVE CAREFULLY are being distributed here to motorists in hopes of encouraging extra driving caution during the opening days of school, according to Police Chief Al Boekelman. Motorists interested in helping to get the safety message across to all drivers are urged to stop at the police department in Algona and pick up a School's Open bumper strip for display on their car. The local department is cooperating with police departments of 40 other major Iowa cities and AAA Motor Club of Iowa in the School's Open campaign.
