Check with your cable company for start time). This program is televised from the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, Ind. Cable's Nashville Network is scheduled to carry the first seven hours of the musical extravaganza exclusively; last-minute negotiations were under way for other outlets, including broadcast, to carry the three prime-time hours (from 8to11 p.m.).

Country star Willie Nelson, who founded Farm Aid, is expected to head the list of performers for the benefit concert. Proceeds from the event will go to help American family farmers. This fourth event is also the first to be held since Farm Aid III in September 1987; the first such benefitwas held in Illinois in 1985.
