Indonesia Volcano Spews Death And Destruction on Wide Front KEDIRI, Indonesia (UPI) Boiling mud spewing from volcanic Mt. Kelud buried nine Javanese villages and killed from 82 to 150 persons, it was reported today. The toll was rising steadily as new figures came in. The district officer in President Sukarno's home town of Biltar told UPI that 82 persons were killed in the Biltar and Kediri districts along with another 52 injured and 60 missing. Earlier press reports said as many as 150 were killed.

Brig, Gen. Hammad W. Jono, governor of East Java, put the death toll at 39 Friday but that was before new casualty reports were received. Interior Minister Basuki Rachmat arrived by helicopter from Surabaja today to survey the damage. Hammad and police Commissioner Soemarsono flew into the disaster area with local authorities.

Preliminary reports in Surabaja said the volcano was active Tuesday and Wednesday evening. The volcano belched mud which flowed to the Badak Dam and swept away land communications. between Blitar and Talun. eruption also cut communications between Blitar and the district capital at Kediri as well as phone connections with Mrgomulto. The steel river bridge at Samgud was swept away.

Final Rites Held For Terry Marvin Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in Rochford for Terry Rae Marvin, 20-yearold Black Hills State College student, who died Monday night in a Rapid City hospital. The final rites were held in the Rochford Community Church with Rev. Sylvan K. Williams, Lead Presbyterian Church, ficiating. Jerry Richards, Englewood, sang "Blessed Assurance" and "Beyond the Sunset." He was accompanied by Mrs.

Funeral Is Tuesday For Nemo Route Child Funeral services for Leonard Wayne Juso, 17-month-old Nemo child, will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Wells Funeral Home, Deadwood. The infant died Saturday. He was born Nov. 10, 1964.

Survivors are his mother, Ellene Juso; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Juso, two cousins, Donna and Nels Juso, all of Nemo Deadwood. Nellie Riley, life-long resident of the area, who died Thursd a April 28, in Minneapolis. The final rites will be held at 2 p.m. at the Hobart-Cat ron Funeral Home and interment will be in a Rapid City cemetery. Mrs. Riley went to Minneapolis about three weeks ago to visit at the home of her son Lester Riley, where she was stricken.

Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mrs. Riley was born in Central City, Nov. 14, 1887 to Mr. and Mrs.

Patrick Killoren and was a life-long resident of the Black Hills. She attended various country schools and ated from St. Martin's Academy in Sturgis in 1903. She taught school in South Dakota and Wyomind for many years and in 1915 was married to Richard Riley who preceded her in death in 1956. Following his' death she moved to Denver, Colo.
