He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad's engineer department; she retired as a library clerk for the Salina School District. Also observing their 28th anniversary during the Mass were Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Johnson who exchanged wedding vows Aug. 13, 1960, in Salina.

Melvin Norris, 1705 Beach. The couple were wed Aug. 21, 1938, in Salina where they since have lived. He retired in 1976 as a Union Pacific Railroad conductor. All friends and relatives are in- vited.
