leming County' Ky the daughter of John Davis and Miranda Gregory Davis She is survived by her husband Albert: one sister Mrs Lucille Hunt of Kentucky and one brother Scott Davis Maysville Ky Services will be at 2 pm Wednesday at the Turner uneral Home with the Rev Bill Pierce officiating and burial in Resthaven Memorial Gardens Visitation will be from 2 9 pm Tuesday at the funeral home Delbert Ruble Delbert Ruble 65 Mowrystown died Sunday afternoon in Christ Hospital Cincinnati He is survived by his widow Grace a son Ted of Virginia Beach Va a brother Mark of Lynchburg a sister Miss Shore Drive and grandson of Clarence Ward Hillsboro was awarded a Doctor of Medicine degree recently during com mencement ceremonies at the Cniversity of Cincinnati College of Medicine Dr Ward began a three year residency in family practice June 28 at General Hospital Cin cinnati Dr Ward graduated magna cum laude from the Cniversity of Cincinnati in 1972 and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa Dr and Mrs Ohio State air which is scheduled from August 26th through Labor Day Sept 6th this will mark the 50th anniversary of the band The band which is organized yearly to perform at the air is comprised of 300 young men and women from high schools in Ohio The All Ohio State air Band will perform at various times at a number of different locations on the fairgrounds from Aug 26 through Sept 1st According Monroe was westbound and in the process of making a left turn when a westbound car driven by Joseph Whitley 20 Greenfield tried to pass her The cars sideswiped and Whitely was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead A PARKED car belonging to James Mattson 44 Washington CH was damaged while parked on Highland Drive sometime Saturday The left Youths Learn Communication On Thursday afternoon July 8 27 Hillsboro area enrollees of the Highland County CAO SPEDY program enjoyed a short discussion and film presentation on interpersonal communication Becky Long of the County Cooperative Extension Office con ducted the program for the youths She demonstrated with the enrollees dif ferent ways that people communicate and how in these different forms of communication people are understood and mis understood After the discussion the enrollees viewed a film entitled "Hello I Need To Tell You The program was organized by SPEDY counselor Ken Bums The purpose of the program was to stress to the enrollees the importance of com munication between employee and employer as well as between fellow employees Republican Club To Hold Picnic The Highland County Republican Club up hitting a guardrail at 6:15 am today on SR 73 just south of Hillsboro The sheriffs department said Charles Chaney Rt 8 was northbound when the accident took place His car was moderately damaged Three Selected To Attend 4 Leader Camp Wayne Keltner New Vienna and Natalie Goodrich and Zana Granger Hillsboro are three outstanding Highland County 4 selected to attend State 4 Leadership Camp this week at 4 Camp Ohio near Utica Leadership camp is a concentrated program designed to help youth un derstand themselves and others develop communication and leadership skills and share ideas with each other The camp is conducted each year for 4 members by the Cooperative Ex tensive Service of the Ohio State University and is sponsored by Westfield Companies Westfield Center This theme for the six
