Mrs Charles Harvey lias gone to Glendale, Calif., to spend the winter with Mr and Mrs Marry McCorkle. Mr nm! Dewcl, Mrs Ali''p Clayton and Ida Peterson. Mrs Charles Clement will he Christmas guest of Mr and Mrs Bob Oberman at Humboldt. They will be joined by Mr and Mrs Grant Oerling, Carmen, III. Mrs Veronica ftoelhler, Mrs Alice Clayton and Mr and Mrs Irvin Kramer, Bancroft, will be dinner guests Christmas of Mr and Mrs Harold Koethler at Livermore. Dr. anil Mrs Harold Bamvart. Adel, who will spend Christmas day here with Mrs Hugh Colwell will go to Rochester, Minn., the following day where the daughter Belle will have a check - up. Friends of Mr and Mrs Harold Clayton, former residents here and at FMherville now living at Marshalltown, will be interested in learning their son Tom, Cleveland, Ohio, was married Nov. 24. Mr and Mrs .lim Vipond, Mr and Mrs Jack Vipond, Mrs Lloyd Vipond and Mrs M. Kirschbaum will leave Christmas morning for Washington, D. C. to attend the wedding of Dick Vipond, son of Mr and Mrs Jim Vipond. Mrs Hugh Colwrll will have her son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs Harold Bamvart and family of Adel as dinner guests Christmas. They will be joined for supper by Mr and Mrs Willis Colwell and family. The Willis Colwells were dinner guests of her mother, Mrs O. d. Day at Clarion. Mrs Marie ttaweott, Bess Hopkins and Lee Hopkins are going to Clear Lake Monday for dinner with Mr and Mrs James Bailey. The Bailey's daughter and husband, Mr and Mrs James Triplet, will also be there from Flint, Mich. Mr and Mrs Russell Cook will be dinner guests of Mr and Mrs Glen Teeter at Burl Christmas. Other guests will be Mrs Florence Schichtl, Mr and Mrs Henry Johannsen, Mr and Mrs Melvin Dutton, Mr and Mrs Raymond Nelson, LuVerne, Mr and Mrs Wayne Schichtl, Washington, and Mr and Mrs Gary Schichtl, A hostess dinner wns hold Thursday evening nl Fort Dodge. In attendance were Huldn Roggow, Anna Schmidt ;ind Tillio Kcttlcsen, West Bend, Arlene Mnnus and Joan Clifford, Burl, Florence Ashton, Bonnie Bell, Kate Bormann, Ailecn Elmore, Lnvonne Henry, Elaine Kinseth, Dorothy Leek, and Ruth Meelhause. Mr and Mrs William Stock left Saturday for Acklcy for a visit till after Christmas with the parents, Mr and Mrs Mearl Knight. Mr and Mrs Tod Chrischlllcs will have the latter's mother, Mrs Sadie Kfuitson, Eagle Gfove, Mf and Mrs Richard Knutson, Webster City, and Mr and Mrs Marvin Knutson, Kanawha, as Christmas guests. Mr dild Mrs R. A. Behnkc returned Thursday from a five-week vacation, three of which were spent in Philadelphia, Pa., with their daughter, Ruth. Enroute home they visited Dr. and Mrs James B. Waller at Decatur, 111., and Mr and Mrs Harold Behnke. The last part of the vacation was spent at Waverly with Rev. and Mrs Harold Roschke. They made the trip east via jet from Waterloo. 2 We were wrong.
