The Mayor announced that the meeting was open for the receipt of bids for $125,000 Water Bonn of iyt5 of the City to be dated May 1. 1965, which were advertised for sale pursuant to the resolution adopted by the City Council on April 5, The City Auditor presented an affidavit showing publication of notice of sate of said bonds for three successive weeks in the official newspaper, which affidavit was examined, found satisfactory, and ordered placed on file.

The City Auditor announced that six sealed bids had been received pursuant to the notice of sale, which were then oiened. considered and tabulated, and the highest and best bid of each bidder was found to be as follows: Najne of Bidder: First National Bank of St. Paul, Minn. Interest date: Bonds due 1967 through 1976, H.Uf't: bonds due 1977 through 1979, 3.30n; bonds due 1980 through llivj, iAiYX; bonds due 19H3 and 19S4. 3.5U;; plus additional interest on nil bonds at the rate of 1.50 per annum from Nov.

This resolution Is found and determined to be necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety and the support of the municipal government and its existing public institutions, wherefore an emergency exists nnd this resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passsige and publication according to law. Published: May 19, 1965. ATTEST: Ann I. Palmer, City Auditor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Alderman Marshall, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted YEA: Hess, Horsfall. Marshall. Maynard.

Moye, Swanson, and Thomas and the following voted NAY: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted and whs approved and signed by the Mayor, and the City Auditor attested the same. Alderman Maynard then introduced written Ordinance No. 643. entitled "An Emergency Ordinunce Creating a Sinking Fund and Levying Taxes for Payment of $125,000 Water Bonds of 1965." Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, said ordinance was placed upon its first reading and was fully and distinctly read. Thereupon said ordinance wo declared -duly passed upon its first reading.

Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was then adjourned to May 5, 1965, at 5 o'clock P.M., for the purpose of second reading of the ordinance which received first reading at this meeting and for the transaction of such other business as may be found necessary or expedient. On motion by Horsfall, seconded bv Move Dobson Bros. Construction of Lincoln, being the lowest responsible bidder of $98,840, the contract be awarded, on roll call vote eight yeas, no nays, accepted. On motion by Marshall, seconded by Hess the City of Deadwood accept the proposal of Dobson Bros, for the construction of Water System Improvements and award the contract contingent on the acceptance by the City of Dobson's proposal for realignment of the water transmission, line between Station 7200 and Station 11300. on roll call vote eight yeas, no nays, carried.
