Art Brown of St. Paul have learned of the recent death of her father, Mr. the Brown residence in St. Paul, October 7. Mr.

Bethard's death came suddenly. He was making his home with his daughter and her husband in St. Paul. Mr. and Mrs.

Brown are former residents of Deadwood and Mr. Bethard had visited in Deadwood many times. The regular dance of the Black Hills Aene 105 Fraternal Order of Eagles held at the Club rooms, Saturday night was well attended. Music for the dancing was furnished by Dorothy Danderand and her orchestra. A teen-age dance i3 planned for October 27 and the Cancer dance sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary will be held October 28.

John Catron of Camp Crook whs a business visitor in Dead-wood, Saturday. Dr. and Mrs. J. C.

Smiley left Friday evening for Omaha. where Dr. Smiley will attend the Midwest Medical meeting. October 23 through 27. Enroute to Omaha they will stop in Vermillion to spend the weekend with their daughter.

Mrs. Vercellino fell from the ladder while washing windows at her home on 130 Charles.
