In the second quarter from Guilford's 23 yard line to 4 yard before Thomas him from Lynch burg's backfield and ran him out of hounds A touchdown followed on a pass from Thomas to rye Roberson falling on the goal The touchdown came after Lynch burg had scored from a recovered fumble on her own 5 yard line Thomas going over on the fourth down second score came 'in second period when Perry Intercepted a pass from the 31 yard line and ran 28 yards to a touchdown Shortly afterwards the Hornets got the ball after a short punt by Roberson Ross got through Guilford's right tackle for 23 and Carpenter round right end for 19 and a touchdown The half ended with Lynchburg leading 20 to 6 McMains kicked a goal from place ment in the third quarter from Guilford's 18 yard line The last period opened with Lynch burg kicking to Guilford's seven yard line and the visitors being forced to kick Ross coming back to 30 yard line when Thomas got over center for seven and McMains through the hole
