The Upper Des Moines-Republican, February 18, 1931 PLUM CitEEK NEWS. Victor Sampson spent the week end at the home of his uncle, Clinton Sampson. Helen McMahon of Union township was a caller at the Wm. Altwegg home Tuesday evening. Mr. and 'Mrs. Alfred Larson and family moved to their new home in Algona last week. < Mr. and Mrs. Victor Young of Rockwell City visited at the Elmer Jasperson home Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Albright entertained a number of friends Friday evening. The evening was spent socially. Mr. and Mrs. Orlo Ball and Louis Ball returned to their home in Clear Lake last week. Louis has spent the winter at the home of his sister, Mrs. Elmer Jasperaon. A number of friends and relatives pleasantly surprised Mr, and Mrs, Lewis McWhOrt&i 1 Saturday evening. The occasion Was their twelfth wedding anniversary. A number of friends gathered at the flay Cook home Monday evening and pleasantly surprised them. Mr. and and Mrs. Cook are moving soon to their new home in Union township. Miss Lillian Johnson of district school, entertained her pupils with a valentine party on Thursday afternoon. Among the little guests were Joyce Jasperson, Robert Haag, Viola and Raymond Schipull. and Marvin Rocli- leau.
