"In that spirit, it is fitting that this uniquely American animation icon is honored on a postage stamp." In honor of this occasion, Williams will conduct a Bugs Bunny coloring contest for Orestes Elementary School students. According to Williams one set of Bugs Bunny stamps will be awarded to a winner from each grade. Longtime Orestes residents Nellie King, Freeda Norris, Mary Norris and Lois Stevens will judge the best drawings. The winners will receive their stamps the first day of Issuance. The Orestes Post Office will serve carrot cake and refreshments that day, said Williams. The Orestes Post Office will celebrate the issuance of the Bugs Bunny Stamp Thursday, May 23.
