and Mrs. August Schmidt and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Binkholder of Gerald route enjoyed a barbecue supper at the creek Monday evening at the Binkholder farm. Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr.

and Mrs. Louis Hem-pelmann and son, Dewayne, were Rev. and Mrs. R. T.

Freund and twin daughters of Talmage, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Niewald of Owensville, Mr. and Mrs. Don Meyer and children of Washington, Mr.

and Mrs. LaVerne Hempel-mann of St. Louis, Buddy (Walter) Niewald and two of his friends from Altus, Okla. and Mrs. John Hempelmann.

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Kuhlmann and daughter of St. Louis were weekend visitors with her parents, Mr.and Mrs.

Henry Linenbroeker. Mr. and Mrs. August Linenbroeker of St. Louis also spent the week Sunday at the Dan Hahne home.

On Sunday they all visited with with Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kur-relmeyer and family. A birthday party honoring the 4th birthday of little Sarah Pelster Saturday at the Pelster home, was enjoyed by the following: Patty and Michael Beeson, Lisa Borch-erding, Carrol, Janet and David Heinlein, Karen Mann, Brenda and Pamela Oberg, Maria Benz, Glen and Debra Schulte, Kenneth and Dennis Oberg, Patricia and Gary Gumper, Connie Ruth and Denise Diekmann, Sherry and Mary Ann Schoening, Jimmy, Marilyn and Linda Kreftmeyer, Randy, Dennis and Donna Mann, Linda, Eugene, Joyce, Dale and Janet Oberg, Carolyn Engelbrecht, Kathy Wilme-sherr, and Mesdames Horace Mann. 1 Miss Shirley Rohlfing is one of I the near 60 graduates of Dea-I coness Hospital School of Nursing.

Ray Miller and children and LaVerne Brinkman spent Sunday a week ago in St. Louis at the Zoo. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Brinkman visited at the Armin Witte home recently.

Sister Edna Stoenner from St. Louis spent a week's vacation here with relatives. Mrs. Ollin Emo, spent last weekend in St. Louis and attended the wedding of her niece.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hollander from Gerald visited at the Arthur Koch home Sunday a week ago. Mr.

and Mrs. Ed Soendker and Miss Laura Stoenner from Welling-j ton visited here last Saturday with the Aug. Gumper and Elmer Wal-decker families. Mr. and Mrs.

Elmer Waldecker and son visited relatives in St. Louis Sunday. Miss Janet Pohlman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christ Pohlman, became the bride of Harvey Perrey from Jefferson City last Saturday, at the St.

Arthur Stoenner. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Brinkman and LaVerne visited at the Ed Ruegge home Sunday afternoon. Mr.

and Mrs. Louis Witte and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Witte were last Sunday dinner guests at the Louis Niebruegge home. Mr.

Annie Stein-; beck visited at the Wilbert Rohlfing home at New Haven JETT HEADS FIELD STAFF FOR HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT TRAFFIC SURVEY IN K.C. Clifton R. Jett, Bland, who graduated in January from the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy in Rolla, presently is serving as field survey project engineer for an extensive origin and destination traffic survey being made in the Kansas City area by the Missouri State Highway De- partment Jett is in charge of a 35-man crew which is gathering traffic information through roadside and home interviews with motorists and residents. The data will be used in future planning of highways and streets in the Kansas City area. Jett, 22, is an engineer inspector in the Division of Highway Plan- Red Bird Mrs.

T. E. Mcintosh underwent major surgery at the Rolla Hospital. She is improving nicely. Twin sons were born to Mr.

and Mrs. George Pruitt at Versailles. Mrs. Pruitt was the former Chalice Sorrell. Mr.

and Mrs. L. E. Rhodes visited Grandma Sorrell Sunday evening. Chas.

Myers of St. Louis spent the weekend with his mother, Mrs. Tena Myers. Mrs. Zelma Spurgeon of Owensville is spending a couple of weeks with Mr.

and Mrs. T. E. Mcintosh. Mr.

and Mrs. Al Baumann and family of St. Louis and Mr. and Mrs. Rainey Shockley of Owensville visited Mr.

and Mrs. B. B. Blackwell over the weekend. Mr.

and Mrs. Melville Hollander of Rosebud were Sunday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bowen. Mr.

and Mrs. Armin Langenberg of Bay visited them Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Troy Phelps visited John Scheels Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. John Pruitt and son of St. Louis spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs.

BOND PROJECT APPROVED The Missouri Commerce and Industrial Development Commission has approved a $500,000 Municipal! Revenue Bond project for the City of Potosi. The Revenue Bond issue will be used for an air-conditioned shoe-manufacturing plant for Brown Shoe Company for St. Louis, which has about 15 plants in Missouri.

Citizens of Potosi must now approve the project by holding a bond election. "This is an ideal example of the way in which municipal bonds can help industry," said Lawrence A. Schneider, director of the industrial development agency, "and it further stresses the importance of Governor John M. Dalton's main program for expanded industrial development in Missouri. "The company benefits in having an excellent building at a low rate of interest.

Albert Heidbrink were dinner guests at Mrs. Noecker's home in Beaufort. Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Langenberg and children spent several days last week visiting with Fred Langenberg and family in Dunbar, Nebraska.
