(AP) --The Rev. Travis Case, pastor of the Tabernacle Church at West Memphis, said Tuesday that a private school would be housed in the church beginning this year. Case said the new school would be named Tabernacle Baptist Academy. He said the school was the result of a five- year study. "Even though Tabernacle I Baptist Academy will be for white students it was not or- iganix.ed because of the racial problem, but rather because of the infidelity and the immorality in most public schools today." Case said.

Case said plans call for opening the first three grades in the fall. The church now operates four kindergarten schools and a day care center in a new building constructed last year. Grades four through six. Case said, would be added in two years. He said a 4.800 square foot building would be built in the next two years to house the upper elementary grades.

Dear Heloise: If you had three teenagers who wore perma press, light colored trousers to school ever; day (and the cuffs are always soiled) how would you get the soil out without putting the in hot water and bleach, which is not recom mended: Mrs. D.D.D. First, let me congratulate you on having three sons! Not every mother can do that You're right about not putting the pants in hot water. I suggest that once you get those trousers clean go out and splurge and buy a bottle of spray starch! This will "seal 1 the fibers and keep the dirt out. I don't care what kind of starch it is, the cheapest (cooked starch) will do just as well for that matter, and here's why: When you put the pants in your washing machine, the next time, the gentle warm water and suds will loosen the starch and all of the soil that has clung to the outside of the starch.

I have also learned--for those who wear wash trousers and who carry keys on the belt or in the back pocket--that after ironing, if you give that area a slight spurt of spray starch, it will prevent the silver marks that ruin most pants. Heloise LETTER OF LAUGHTER Dear Heloise: I must go to bed after this long letter. I find that I am not as young now as I used to be.
