KOSSlTffl ALUMS OF IOWA FAVOR GRID NEW DEAL Some Think Laxity of Al umni Contributed to Decline What do University of Iowa alumni think ot the coaching sit««««i with regard to the football team at their alma mater? Ttafa what we wondered, ao we conducted a little survey among a few of the graduates we knew, «ome in business in Algona, and a few In profeatlona here and in Bur- rounding towns. • The concensus of opinion seemed to be that a change wouldn't hurt the school any, but many tempered their remarks saying that material and plenty of reserves must be available for any coach to make a t>am click. Alumni mt FaultT One graduate pointed out that in many schools the alumni organizations make it possible for coaches to earn extra money over and above their I8JSOO (which is the top salary for football coaches allowable In the Big Ten).
