WATSON Mrs. Ernest (Velma Watson, 68, of Pana died 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Pana Community Hospital; born near Tower Hill; member Pana United Methodist Church; Arcana Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Pana; Hospital Auxiliary; American Decatur Deaths CHESTER Mrs. Lela Chester, 43, of Los Angeles died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in her home.

Funeral services are incomplete at J. J. Moran and Sons Funeral Home. Mrs. Chester was born Oct.

19, 1927 in Monroe County, a daughter of Thomas J. McCoy and Norma (Davis) McCoy. She left Decatur and had lived in California for 20 years. She leaves brothers B. H.

McCoy, Fresno, Willie D. McCoy and Thomas McCoy, both of Decatur; Rex McCoy, Bowling Green, sisters, Mrs. Dep (Delma) Hix and Mrs. John (Ella) Wilson both of Bowling Green; Mrs. Fred (Merlene) Satterlee, Buckingham, Mrs.

Donald (Dorothy) Melhorn, Belleville; Mrs. Robert (Ruby) Oakley, Heyworth. One sister preceded her in death. COBURN Frank Coburn, 80, of 1037 W. Wood St.

died at 8 p.m. Sunday in his home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Dawson Wikoff Funeral Home where friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Mr. Coburn was born in Jasper County, a son of Thomas Freemont and Montie Isley Coburn. He moved to Decatur from Vandalia in 1920. He retired from the grocery business in 1956.

He married Isabelle Holt on Jan. 2, 1917; she preceded him in death. Surviving Mr. Coburn are one son, Argyl, of Decatur; three daughters, Mrs. Audra Dennis and Mrs.

Leon (Ardyth) Kanler, both of Decatur; Mrs. Owen (Arvetta) Kinzie, of South Bend, three brothers, J.R., of Portage, Dallas, of Decatur; Fred, of Vandalia; three sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Verna) Tevis and Mrs. Frank (Jessie) Allender, both of Vandalia; Mrs. Carl (Clara) Humphries, of Jennings, 12 grandchildren; 3 greatgrandchildren; two sons preceded him in death.

Smiley (Inez) Basham, Tulsa, Okla. and Mrs. Mac (Jessie) McSwain, Atlanta, and seven grandchildren. SNYDER Floyd M. Snyder, 66, of New Port Richey, formerly of Decatur died April 5 in New Port Richey.

Funeral services were held Friday in Villa Park. He leaves sisters, Mrs. Clara Jandrin and Mrs. Margaret Bundy, both of Decatur. ROBERTSON Mary Irene Robertson, 57, of Burbank, a former Decatur resident, died Friday in Burbank.

Funeral services were today in Church of the Hills, Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, Calif. Burial was in Forest Lawn. She was born in Sullivan, a daughter of W. D. and Fern Robertson.

She had been a resident of Burbank for the past 12 years. She was a member of the Woodley Avenue Baptist Church in Granada Hills, Calif. Surviving are her mother of Decatur; and sisters, Stella Marie Bromel Decatur, Cathryn Bellows of Plainwell, and Betty McCool of Burbank, Calif. Correction John E. Fick, school board president, and William D.

Weaver, board members, both opposed busing students to a- chieve racial balance in the 1970 school board campaign. A story on Page 3 of the Sunday Herald and Review incorrectly stated both favored such a plan. James Reaves (Bessie) Holt, 89, of 302 S. Union St. died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday in the Macon County Tuberculosis Sanatorium. Memorial services for Mrs.

Holt will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Dawson Wikoff Funeral Home, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. She was born in St.

Louis, a daughter of John and Martha Dudley Trigg. Mrs. Holt was a past president and member of the Sans Souci Club. She also was a president of the Federation of Women's Societies of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Mrs.

Active in humanitarian endeavors, Mrs. Holt headed many Red Cross projects for servicemen as well as sewing and other relief projects for refugees. She was married to James Reaves Holt Dec.

29, 1904. He died in 1965. Mr. Holt was chairman of the board and president of Linn Scruggs Co. The store had been a Decatur landmark and family tradition for 100 years.

Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Charles H. (Betty) Ruedi and Mrs. Frederick W. (Innes) Logan, both of Decatur, and Mrs.

John M. (Martha) Denman of Sedan, 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Five brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. Memorials: Westminster Presbyterian Church or Decatur Memorial Hospital. ALLEY 00P BUGS BUNNY N.Y.
