ARKANSAS FFA MEMBERS RECOGNIZED . . .Kennelh Lambeth (left) has been nominated for the American Farmer Award and Ronald Luttrett will sing in the FFA Chorus FFA Members To Receive Recognition Two members of the Fayetle vllle Chapter of Future Farin- 'ers of America will receive recognition at the National FFA Convention in Kansas City, Mo. this week. Kenneth W. Lambeth, son of Mr. and Mrs. David H. Lambeth of Fayetleville, has been nominated for the degree of American Farmer by the Arkansas State FFA. He is one of C42 members to be selected for the award which will be presented October 17, pending final vote of approval of 116 student delegates who represent FFA members in convention business sessions. Kenneth, presently a student at the University of Arkansas where he is majoring in voca-' tional agriculture education, earned the nomination for his supervised farming program and his work experience program. He served as president of the local chapter and was runner-up Star Arkansas Agribusinessman in 1973. Ronald D. Luttrell, a senior at Fayeltcville High School and son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Luttrell, has been selected to join the FFA Chorus. He was selected from among 300 applicants from 3 8 . states. The special chorus will be directed by Marvin Myers, retired member of the Purdue University Musical Organization at West Lafayette, Ind. Country Music Awards To Be Aired Tonight NASHVILLE, Tcnn. (AP) -William Roberts, 37, sought by !ho FBI In connection with the kidnaping and robbery o( a Fort Smith, Ark., minister, was arrested here Saturday. ' Police said Roberts, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., was taken .into cus- tody without incident whoii JMJ went to Good Samaritan Hospital complaining of arm and chest pains. A hospital spokesman said Roberts was not believed to be seriously HI. Rhythm and. blues singer Gladys Knight has married Barry Hankerson, an assistant to Detroit Mayor Coleman Young. Young was the best man and opened up the mayor's mansion for the wedding and reception Saturday night. Miss Knight, 29, and her vocal group. The Pips, won Grammy awards last March for best pop vocal group and best rhythm and blues vocal group. It was the second marriage for. both Miss Knight and the 26-year-old Hankerson.
