Madsen, a law student, has been in charge of the association's proposed revision of the slate's juvenile laws. State Retirement Coordination Asked LITTLE ROCK ( A P ) -- A committee of the Legislative Council recommended Thursday that the legislature establish a joint committee to handle all public retirement bills. The State and Local Government Committee of the council also took a step toward standardizing the benefits under the hree largest public retirement ystems. The committee recommended hat the council authorize a study of the three systems to determine how much state money would be needed to make all three systems actuarially sound and to standardize benefits at the highest levels of he three systems.
