Nudie Beach Voyeur Welcome Addition sun bathe. It's quite harmless, Dear Helen: About four miles from our house is a Nudic Beach where (mostly) young people strip and " " " ' secluded and ^ and I didn't a'gree with the townspeople who wanted police to chase them back into clothes. But my husband thinks it would be great fun if we'd join them. Me strip at my age and shape? (It's not bad for 50, but Collegiates style-unconscious.) -- H. Dear Helen: I read that if a woman takes The Pill and sleeps with someone who has VD, her chances of contracting the disease are iust about doubled. What's the wouldn't compete with 25- year-olds!) My husband isn't a sun lover so much as he's a skin gazer. Please tell him lhat isn't the right attilude to take to Nudie Beach. -- No Go Dear No Go: At a nudist camp (or beach) a voyeur is as welcome as poison "ivy, and if your husband doesn't" believe me, he should go down and see for himself. Every time I've bought her a dress, swimsuit, even a nightgown, she's found some reason to exchange it. I .think she should get the message I like her in the clothes I bring home. What happens to equal rights when the men get shafted? First my mother, then my wife --in my entire life I've never picked out a suit by myself. -- About Time Dear A.T. I It's about time you complained to the right woman -your wife! Make a stand for men's rights, and get thee to a clothier -- alone! (But don't be surprised if she pouts -- females have this thing about believing their men are Pill got to do with it? -furious Dear Curious: There's some truth in this statement, though I'm not sure about the percentage. The Pill contains hormones which increase secretions, thus providing a more ideal soil for the growth and reproduction o the ganococcus, the bacterium responsible for gonorrhea. Also, it's assumed by somi researchers that a woman on the pill may be less carefu about her sexual partners. And of course, the pill or the IUD (intraulerine ' device) offer ni prelection against infection. I've read that the incidenci of cervical cancer is slightly higher among women on thi pill, but please remember: non of these estimations are muc' more than educated guesses based on studies of figures tha could vary for numerous rea ons. But this is for sure: ever; ,,.,...,, woman should have a Pap tes (for cancer detection) at leas closet once a year, and if -she's'sex ually active, she should includ a VD examination. -- H. Study Blames Interest Limit Prices LITTLE ROCK (AP) -- Ar :ansas consumers are payin rom 1 to 9 per cent more mon y on many purchases tha jersons in surrounding slates, tudy by two University of Ar lansas professors shows. The study blames the highe prices on Arkansas' 10 per cen nterest limit set by the slat Constitution. The study say his limitation forces retail on ets to raise prices on goods t compensate for the lower inter est rates. The sludy concludes that credit subsidy exists in A lansas. Interest rales in most par of the nation are from 12 pe cent to 18 per cent. Arkansans will vote in N vember on a proposed ameni ment to remove the 10 per cei constitutional limit by givin the legislature power to such limits. The study predicts that if tl limit isn't removed by the a proval of proposed Amendme 57, then the price differentia between Arkansas and neig boring states will widen su slantially. The study was financed by grant from Sears Roebuck Co. and was conducted by professors Gene Lynch and William Hardin. Sears Roebuck supports the proposed Amendment 57.
