Local druggists and Pharmacy School students and their wives are invited. Reservations should be made before March 26 with Dudley Rhinehart, Joe Bruce, Maurice Cobb, Ralph Mackey or Lloyd Nelson. Examination Held For Civil Service Jobs In Government Russell McConnell, local secretary for the U. S. Civil Service Commission, announced today that a sufficient .number of qualified persons has not applied for the' civil service investigator examinations being held for filling posi- I lions in the civil service organization in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. He said senior college students who can meet full examination requirements within four months may now apply. McConnell also announced examination for highway engineer and highway bridge engineer for f i l l i n g positions in the Bureau· oi Public Roads and other fedora' agencies throughout the .country, Salaries range from $4,205 to $5,f)40 a year. Applicants for the Jaticr posts must have completed a f u l l college curriculum in -professional engineering leading to a bachelor's degree; or have had four years progressive technical engineering experience; or have hrd a combination of such education and cx- p«U;icnce. In addition they m have had from one to t'vee years professional engineering experience, partly i n ' h i g h w a y .or highway "bridge engineering. Two Cases Dismissed In Benfon Court Bentonville-{ Special)-Two cases were dismissed and cnc continued n the first day of the spring term of the Bcnton County . Circuit Court here yesterday* . The case of the state vs. Joe Weber, an appeal from Justice of 'the Pence Court, was dismissd, along with the slate vs. Alec Dean, also an appeal from J. P. court. In other action the court set the case of the state vs. Morris McCarver, involuntary m a n- slaufjhtcr, until March 27 and continued the case of the state vs. Monce Marler, false pretense, until March 24.
