TAIF, Saudi Arabia (AP) -Saudi Arabia prabably..will invest a major portion.of its oil wealth in the United States, the Saudi oil minister said Saturday. Sheik Ahmed Zaki Yamani said Americans need not fear that the Saudis will buy up American industries with their billions of dollars . in surplus funds. · . Saudi Arabia is the Middle East's major exporter of oil. Yamani said in an interview his government is considering investing in special U.S. "government securities. Yamani said the Saudis will continue to work for lower-oil prices and increased production to meet world oil demand.
