The discussion, about her newly published autobiography, occurred at a modest rcstau- Home of AMERICA'S FAVORITE rant t The middle-aged waitress who served the coffee peered at her, then gasped: "You're Rona Barrett, aren't you? I watch your show on TV all the time. I love it." It is sort of hard to ask her about her book because parts .of it are luridly a-twitter with her fan club days, her fan magazine days and Hollywood inside stuff of the early 1960s. I am lot au courant there. Another problem is that the thing also concerns ah, er, linim, uhh, well, you know, fooling around. It even starts with the attempted seduction of her by an unnamed Hollywood superman, a married cad. Miss Barrett, whose book also depicts her long drive to overcome a muscular disability and homeliness, was asked why she wrote it. Part of it, she said in a soft, low voice, was because she always gets letters from star- struck fans and it suddenly BIG 16" DIAMETER INTRODUCTORY SPECIAL isjsjsjjHJHHSJSznnnHSjnnsttJSrSKzs; 2forl BRING THIS COUPON AND RECEIVE ONE PIZZA FREE WITH WE PURCHASE OF ONE OF cOUAL VALUE ONE COUPON PER VISIT, PLEASE. HOFFMAN WASHINGTON (AP) -- Most 'enlagbn research specialists re satisfied the United States an adequately test several im- ortant new nuclear weapons, ncluding bigger multiple war- icads, before a limit on under;round testing takes effect. "We can do what we want to do in that time frame," said one official referring to the more than 20 months remaining of unrestricted nuclear testing olo\y ground. This confidence probably is ased largely on an expectation that the pace of testing will speed up significantly. The Atomic Energy Commission reportedly has asked for another $89 million for this purpose this year. A new U.S.-Soviet treaty bans all underground nuclear test explosions greater than 150 kilotons, the equivalent of 150,000 tons of TNT, after March 31, 1976. A previous treaty has forbidden all nuclear tests in the atmosphere, in space and under water since 19G3. Both United Stales and Russia conducted nuclear weapons tests last week, about a week after the new treaty was signed in Moscow by President Nixon and Soviet Communist party chief Leonid Brezhnev. A 400 kiloton multiple warhead for the U.S. Minuteman intercontinental ballistic missile is among the weapons the Pen- ta'gon is moving to develop, as hedges against possible failure to achieve a long-range curb on both U.S. and Soviet nuclear rms. This would be about twice as powerful as the current generation of multiple warheads (MIRVs) that can be aimed at separate targets after being carried alofl by a single Min uteman ICBM. Some Pentagon research specialists are known to be dis- urbed because the new treaty orecloses the United States "rom matchiirg the size of newr Soviet MIRVs. But gaining greater accuracy 'or missile warheads and greater explosive yield from a given weight of nuclear material ap.-, pear to be the most impor^Ant research objectives right now. Neither of these projects ara disturbed by the treaty limitations. : MWY. H NOtTM * FAYtTHVUU + -««u NOW SHOWING Open 8:30 -- Starts 9:00 Play Ing Doctor wa i Never UiceTWst ·nwour teaaxa Treatment!
