AP -- In no with their religious beliefs, members ot Ihe Highway 70 Baptist Church have been cutting boy's hair and lengthening girls' dresses for about a year, ;he pastor said Saturday. The 'Rev. Mr. Gene Hobgood s a i d , however, after a n unauthorized haircut given an 8-year-old boy last Sunday prompted a complaint from the child's parents, the policy has been modified to require written parental permission up to age 13. Mr. and Mcs. Shand Tillman said they are considering lega' action over a haircut given to their son Tim without their permission at the church last week. Mrs. Tillman, whose husband is a barber, said Tim rode a church bus to services last Sun Sight Restored To Woman, ISO, After 74 Years 01 Blindness BRISTOL. Va. Mrs. Mulkey, who is 80, can see again after 74 years of blindness. To her, these ordinary things are-priceless works of art, a feast for eyes that were starved for beauty. "Such a blessing, such a miracle!" exclaimed Mrs. Mulkey. 'It makes me so happy that I "lome-made liquid lye to i ieighbor. The lye was for use i vashing clothes or makin oap. "Right up into my eyes i vent," she recalled. "They di heir best to get it out, course, but I was crying an rubbing my eyes, and it wa feel like singing Thou Art.'" Until last month, 'How Great Mrs. Mulkey had lived for nearly three quarters of a century in a shad o\vy world in which her only visual perception was daylight and color. Then, with a corneal trans plant, an eye surgeon in Abing don, Va., .restored the details and features she'd been m' ing most of her life.
