(AP) -Three fishermen drowned late Tuesday wh«n they were swept over the spillway on the flood- swollen Lake D'Arbonne near this small northern Louisiana town. Dragging operations were underway to recover the bodies of the three, who were not identified. Lake Commission officials closed off an area of the lake 100 yards on either side of the spillway to recreational activities. Meanwhile, most highways leading into Farmerville remained closed by high water, although officials said residential areas were not threatened. Winchell, a state Health Department sanitarian who has teen under investigation for alleged conflicts of interest, resigned Tuesday, Dr. John A. Barrel Jr., department direc- lor. said. Barbara Feldon Doing Duties As Hostess On 'Comedyworld' By JERRY BUCK LOS ANGELKS (AP) -- Barbara Feldon divides her time among her home in the Hollywood Hills, her boat, her studies, writing and television. Barbara, who was Agent M on "Get Smart" for five years. is doing hostess duties on "Dean Martin's Comedyworld." a Thursday night summer show on NBC. She taped her appearances in such places as London, San Francisco and Great Gorge, N.J. "Comedyworld" features c o t r i e d y performers from around the country and In London. Since leaving "Get Smart" in 1970, Barbara' made numerous appearances on series, TV movies, specials and game shows. She says she doesn't miss the regularity of a series at all. LOVES VARIETY "It's tiie best of all possible worlds," she said. "Consistency is not something I'm fond of. I love variety." It permits her to pursue a life style suited to her interests. Last summer she bought a 43- foot cabin cruiser, Ciopinno, and took up the study of navigation. That is in addition to her study of art and history. She lives part of the time on the boat, anchored at Marina Del Rey, and it is there that he does her writing. With ac- ress Joan Darling, she wrote or a Dinah Shore special and or the Public Broadcasting ystem. She said she's been writing or years. Most of her work has been in omedy -- "It's my favorite" -- but Barbara doesn't consider herself a eomeotc actress. She said, "I began » · dramatic actress.
