He's always terribly sorry afterwards, but I worry. You sec, he told me once that his father used to beat him. He'd even tit? him u p and hang him head clown from the rafters as punishment. And he'd burn the kids' hands to "teach" them. Even now, any sudden mo mnnt will make my husband duck. Then sometimes lie starts swinging. He even tried to choke me once -- and iater cried about the bruises. What should I do? -- Loves Him Dear L.H.: I'd get your husband to a doctor -- quick! Intermittent violence in an otherwise gentle person could be caused from silher physical or mental problems. If your husband checks out physically, then he should sec a psychiatrist recommended by your doctor. -- Sue Dear L.H.: One of the most frightening aspects of child-beating is that the victim often becomes the aggressor in later years. These sudden violences -- probably reactions to long-ago hates -must be examined and explained by an expert. When your husband understands whal causes them, the cure is sight. -- Helen NOW SHOWING Policewomen 8:45 THE PIZ/A HUT DELIVERS! CALL 521-3O11 Now Open at 11:00 a.m. 0 CURRENTLY APPEARING WED.-SAT.
