To drop into the vernacular of the day, something ought to be done about it. Irene Hardy has it coming to her or to her memory. Miss Hardy left a lasting Influence at Oakland High school and is held in affectionate remembrance, Librarian Emeritus Greene assured me. Poet himself, he also would like to see in Berkeley or Oakland a tablet preserving Professor Edward Rowland Sill's definition of poetry as "high ground for noble emotions expressed through the imagination in rythmical language."
