Mr. and Mrs. Albert Diekmann and Grandpa August Diekmann of New Hampton spent from Saturday unti Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs Fred A. Diekmann. Grandpa remained for an extended visit at the home of his son here during the winter. John Dennis Diekmann, five year old son of Mr. aaid Mrs. F. A. Dtekman spent a miserable week last week sick in bed with glandular fever and was under the doctor's care a share of the time. He was able to be up Monday and his friends wish a speedy recovery for him. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Goetz are the proud parents of an eight and a half pound baby boy bom to them Saturday morning at the Kossuth hospital. This is their first child, and Mr. and Mrs. Matt Erdmann, maternal grandparents are equally as proud of their first grandchild Invitations were sent out over the week end to friends of Miss June Bole- nus to attend the wedding dance at the Sexton hall given in honor of sh and her husband, George Asa. Mis. Bolenus la the only daughter of Mr and Mrs. Lou Bolenus and her marri age took place recently. Miss Helen Funnemark and her class in home economics entertained th* members of the school faculty an their wives at a 6:30 banquet at th school house Wednesday night. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Chajrlstrom of Moorland came Sunday for her moth- r, Mrs. William Hutchison, who plans o spend several weeks at their home nd from there on to other homes of er children to visit during the win- :r months. Miss Esther Burke, head technician in a hospital at Indianapolis, Is also expected at the Julius Kunz home where she will ipend a week's vacation during the holidays.
