Club in Annual Outing (Crowded Out Last Week) Union: Thirty ladles of the Union Mothers and Daughters club enjoyed an outing last Thursday by motoring to the Will Nelson home In Qrftnt township, where they were entertained and a covered dish luncheon was en- Joyed. Mrs. J. H. Warner gave a talk. Mrs. Harvey Thompson of Hurt and Grandma Nelson of Rlngsted were guests. The rwxt meeting will be with Bertha Sarchctt and with Veda McArthur a&ristlng. Roll call will be short poems. A paper, "American Cartoonists," will be given by Clara Crulk- shank and a reading by Eleanor Elston. Joe Matlllc left Tuesday morning for Cedar Rapids. Mrs. Jess Riddle of Algona was a gue«t at the Win. Etbcrlngton home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Will Nelson left on Friday for Minneapolis and returned again Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Emll Stoflcl and Mr. BtofTel's mother attended the Catholic bazaar at Bancroft Tuesday. Stanley Gardner and Alfred Schenck took advantage of the rainy weather and shelled corn Friday of this week while corn was at a tempting price. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wight and children who had been visiting the past couple of weeks at the Chester Bailey home, left for their home at Clayton, New Mexico, Tuesday mom- Ing. Mrs. Louis Bode and son, Donald, accompanied Mrs. Bode's mother, Mrs. John Lamuth and Mrs. Carroll Puth of Algona drove to Port Dodg? last Tuesday and returned Wednesday.
